I am a violinist and I will soon finish my studies at the IRMEP (Royal Institute of Music and Pedagogy) in Namur. Passionate about music since always and teaching for several years, I love sharing and transmitting my passion! I obtained my DEM (diploma of musical studies) in 2017 at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lyon (France). Since the age of 15, my goal has been to become a professional violinist and to teach. During my lessons, I adapt to each person, I try to support each student as best as possible and at their own pace. I make sure that the course goes in a positive way, in a good mood and in confidence. I respect each course. Music is above all to have fun! Depending on the level, the need, the objective and the personal work of the pupil, I try to help him progress on all points, through music. With 27 years of experience as a violin teacher, artist and composer, I transmit my love of music in a creative, playful and holistic way. I have developed a method that adapts to each student according to their needs, levels and desires. I attach great importance to creating a caring and relaxed atmosphere where the student can flourish and develop both a solid technique and learn self-confidence. We will also discuss how to work efficiently and calmly and we will develop the qualities necessary to express yourself freely with your instrument. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I aim to strike a balance as much as possible between teaching technical skills and musicality, as of course there cannot be one without the other when learning an instrument. Lessons are a mixture of teaching and demonstrating correct posture, finger patterns or body movements, and teaching and engaging a learner with rhythm, pitch and melody, and then combining them together. I am a firm believer in tackling one aspect at a time in lessons and gradually combining it with another aspect of playing. I often include activities such as playing a note and asking the student to match my pitch or sound quality, or including musical games that can develop musical memory and rhythm. The most important aspect of learning any instrument is of course the music! Aiming to help a student find music (or if they have ideas they are welcome to bring them along!) that they love and find absorbing - this can be any genre, as long as it has a tune! I have a variety of books of different levels that I can use to help students find styles that are fun and enjoyable for them. There are technical things that need to be worked on in playing any instrument - but of fundamental importance is that the student has a feel for the music they play and a musical idea of what the end goal of any piece is.
