Learning a musical instrument does not happen overnight, it takes time, patience, discipline and, most importantly, the desire to make music. My course is designed to give all the tools, technical and theoretical, to someone who wants to learn to improvise, read music notes, memorize music and develop their musical ear. Everything is done in a good atmosphere, humor and relaxation, the ultimate goal is to progress while having fun!

I am happy to teach interested beginners of all ages or advanced students, depending on their needs, piano (classical/early music/new music) and improvisation. I find it essential and important to integrate one's own emotions into the interpretation and to make the music authentic and un-mechanical.

J'ai plus de 12 ans d'expérience en enseignement, un diplôme de licence en interprétation au piano et une certification pédagogique d'une université reconnue internationalement. J'ai participé à de nombreuses classes de master de piano en Europe et j'ai étudié avec de grands pianistes. J'apprends toujours auprès de différents pianistes hautement accomplis. Je travaille comme pianiste professionnel depuis maintenant 6 ans, en Suisse, en Espagne, aux Maldives, à Chypre, en Autriche, en Islande et sur des navires de croisière de luxe (autour du monde). J'ai environ 10 000 abonnés sur Youtube, 18 000 sur Facebook et 30 000 sur Instagram. Au cours de ma carrière, j'ai appris que la compassion, la communication et l'encouragement sont tout aussi essentiels à la transmission de connaissances musicales que de compétences techniques. Mon expérience professionnelle comprend le coaching d'étudiants de tous niveaux et de tous âges, l'enseignement à différents niveaux de compétences. J'ai préparé avec succès les étudiants avec leurs examens de piano comme ABRSM, Trinity Grade 1-8 et des examens plus avancés. Je peux vous apprendre à jouer de la musique classique, du ragtime, du blues, du jazz, de la musique traditionnelle, de la musique moderne (Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, etc.), de la musique ancienne (Abba, Queen, etc.). Je dispense mes cours en utilisant une combinaison de 3 caméras pour une visibilité optimale et un microphone de qualité que mes étudiants trouvent très utile. Cela leur permet de voir une démonstration visuelle très claire à côté de mon explication verbale. Je vous donnerai des cours de piano en ligne personnalisés. Pour les débutants, j'utilise les livres de méthode Alfred, mais je suis très ouvert à l'utilisation d'autres livres également. J'aime enseigner et expliquer des choses générales, des habitudes qui peuvent être appliquées à des passages musicaux similaires, que l'on retrouve dans toutes les partitions musicales, de la musique classique à la musique moderne.

Hello! I am a 29 years old classical pianist with a Master's degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. I have taught Piano (and also Music Education) since 2016, to both children and adults. I conduct a first lesson, where we can get to know each other and determine how compatible we are. Work experience I have been working with children and adults of any level for over five years. Both with those who study for themselves and with those who need help in development or professional preparation for exams / training. My approach The basis is the construction of a holistic musical personality, an individual approach. I help students express themselves and captivate listeners. This includes, in addition to all types of technique, ear training and music theory, also more general psychological skills and abilities related to your personality, such as, for example, artistry and musicality. In this sense, the student and teacher's understanding of themselves and music plays a major role; serious attention is paid to psychological processes in the lesson, since they are the most important part of the student's progress. Elements of psychoanalysis are included in the work (I have more than 7 years of experience in personal analysis). Unfortunately, teachers almost always do not know how to work in this area, which significantly worsens the quality of classes. In lessons, I start from your goals, desires and level, you can choose your repertoire and pace of learning together with me. Lessons are adapted to the age, level and tasks of the student - an individual approach. With students who study professionally, they are distinguished by greater intensity, the presence of exam lessons. With children, a minimum of theoretical discussions and a maximum of play. In my understanding, technique is a good sound and effect on the listener, so in lessons I almost always start from the process of expressing myself through music, from direct playing on the instrument. Education and achievements I started my education at the Stasov Music School in Moscow (piano), and then continued at the Ippolitov-Ivanov Music and Pedagogical College (piano). I received a bachelor's degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music (piano). I am a diploma winner of the Moscow Piano Competition of Romantic Music (2018), and also a multiple participant in various concerts with solo and ensemble programs. I have more than 7 years of experience in personal psychoanalytic work, which allows me to delve into the details of each student. Work online I have several professional webcams for viewing hands and posture from different sides (including from above), as well as several microphones so that you can hear and see both your voice and playing with high quality. For lessons, you will need a device with Internet access, a camera and a microphone. Work is usually in Zoom or Jitsi. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
