Hello! Being a singer and a singing teacher, many many times I have found myself in the situation of having to work on ear training, or solfège, or music theory... or all the above listed! Approaching music and having no clue of these elements can totally be intimidating and off-putting, but in 2023 I feel like it’s a pity that these subject still are looked at with such a fear. I want to prove to you that building these basic knowledge can be easy, accessible and not heavy at all! My program is not fixed: I’ll build it on your specific needs, wether they are preparing an exam, curiosity, getting better at pitch matching... we will discuss together. I have many books and material, and I honestly prefer to draw blackboards by myself a lot of times. Unless you will want to, I won’t ask you to buy any material, so the only cost that you will have to sustain, is for the time of the class.

I was born in the Czech Republic, where I also studied at the Conservatory of Prague. My main field is composition and that is why my teaching method is different from the other teachers who studied piano. In 2016, I founded a school called the Lastwin School of Liberal Arts. Under this shield, I taught with my wife in our apartment. We were intrigued by how many parents enrolled their children for lessons. Even the parents themselves wanted to try the lessons. The method I use liked the headmistress of the Montessori school called Edison, where I taught piano and music lessons. I was wondering why, they do not use services like state music schools, which are significantly cheaper. The answer was very simple. Such institutions have clear textbooks, clear curricula, and everyone must follow this. But I am very sure, that this is not Art. I am for Liberal Art. And I want to be one of the other teachers who understand individuality and try to subordinate as much as possible to the student. For my inspiration, I take a tree that becomes a tool for every case when something is unclear to students. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
