History, general culture and methodology courses

currently in bac + 2, I wish to become a teacher of schools. What motivates me in life is to envy young children to study, to love learning and to understand. I adapt according to each student, my methods will not be the same from one child to another. However, what characterizes my method would be the playful side. I like to take the original course to make it something attractive. That is to say that it will not be more to learn history but a story. That's how I was able, during my civic service or I helped young people in difficulty, to make taste material to students who had abhorrent courses. It is not easy task but with good humor we get there!

French: These courses may lead to a discovery of classical works but also to revisions on the rules of grammar and spelling. Philosophy: The concepts of the great philosophers will be detailed here with a simplistic approach. English: With a B2 level certification, I can help with preparation for the TOEC, such as the baccalaureate or the patent. History: Depending on levels and programs, I can adapt to the student, even if I have a preference for the history of the twentieth century.

I am Adrián García, I have a degree in Journalism and a Master's in Teacher Training (formerly CAP) specializing in Geography and History. Thanks to a solid foundation in communication, I have skills in transmitting knowledge, designing teaching materials, and managing dynamic learning environments. I offer to teach ESO and Bachillerato students who need extra support in any of the subjects mentioned in the course title.

Passionate about history, I am at your disposal for any help you would need for the writing of your presentations, end of studies and dissertations in EDM / geography / human sciences and French. I offer you a German course that is not like the others. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. My modular programme can be adapted on a case-by-case basis. The converging point of these modules is your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What will not be covered in the course: learning lists of verbs; learning lists of nouns with articles; learning words with their translations; flashcards; doing school exercises; following the syllabus of a booklet; imposing the English grammar on the German language. What is particularly important to me: to motivate my student and to give him a learning rhythm; to encourage his creativity; to befriend him with the language; the letters and their sounds; to strengthen the memory by training the phonological loop; to teach blueprints instead of memorising sentences; to explain how the language works in order to make my student independent as quickly as possible; to eliminate common preconceptions, such as that 'der' would mean masculine and 'die' feminine, that the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, that verbs would be irregular, that declension would be random and therefore would have to be learnt with each verb...; to put practice at the centre and only deal with grammar where necessary. A first lesson will give you a sound idea of my pedagogy.

As a historian from the Pontifical Xavierian University, I am familiar with the history of Colombia, the Americas, Europe, Spain, Asia, and the Islamic world. I am passionate about teaching and history as a tool for critical thinking. I have gained experience in teaching, research, and designing creative pedagogical strategies tailored to student needs, allowing me to tailor lessons. Likewise, I can perform the duties of an editor/reviewer for university papers, strengthening the skills of a social science researcher and writer. I am also willing to assist in the research process if needed.

I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

I give French lessons. These are intended for everyone, as much for beginners (if someone who speaks English wants to learn French I can do it) as much as for intermediates (if a college student wants to improve I can also carry out a deepening of his grammar and spelling lessons). Finally, I can also do French baccalaureate preparation, and teach the methodology of the dissertation as well as document analysis. I have already had several students who took their baccalaureates and they all had an average of more than 14.5 in their tests. I can finally help to learn a working methodology, particularly useful, if not necessary, for the French baccalaureate exams and giving the student autonomy. As for the oral test, I can also train there. I myself had 17 at the French bac oral. I adapt each course to the student, to his level, but above all to what he is trying to learn. To do this, I propose diversified exercises. I speak English myself, so I can teach French to an English speaker.

Together we will begin with everyday facts to explore the foundations of philosophy, look for clues in the history of thought and learn to be independent in our critical thinking.
