Zelf ben ik voornamelijk werkzaam als schrijver van theaterteksten, maar ik heb ook ervaring met het schrijven van liedteksten, literaire vertalingen, essays etc.. Alle teksten benader ik dus vanuit een creatieve insteek en artistieke visie. Als theaterauteur houd ik me ook bezig met hoe een tekst klinkt - klinkt het niet prettig, dan kan hij vast beter geschreven worden. Als coach richt ik me vooral op het geven van feedback op de teksten die je schrijft en help ik je graag op weg met opdrachten om te beginnen met schrijven en/of om het gevreesde writersblock af te schudden. Vind je het fijner om meer stil te staan bij theorie rond het schrijven, dan help ik je daar natuurlijk ook graag bij. /// As a writer (mainly playwriting, but also songs, columns, literary translations and essays) I'm very interested in helping you either to start writing, or to better your writing. We'll work mostly by practicing and discussing your work. If you prefer to zoom in on theoretics, I'm happy to guide you in that as well. I'm a professional playwriter and dramaturg (and studied at LUCA School of Arts with Nico Boon, Freek Mariën and Nathan Vecht). I previously taught playwriting in different groups (CREA, Buitenkunst) and work as a scriptadvisor for professional theatre makers. Besides that, I often help people in writing resumes, papers and thesis papers.

Apart from general English language learning, this type of classes will focus more on English business vocabulary, business writing, business conversation and listening comprehension. This class would be suitable for people who plan (or already do) to study business/economics, want to enhance business skills for the business trips/clients, want to communicate and network effectively with international people in English. For this class I will use several books as materials (popular editions) dedicated to Business English growth. I will involve much conversational practice and discussion activities of specific topics. The material (books, texts, exercises) will be shared with a student. All the classes and preparation for them will be adapted to each student individually. I currently work as a private language teacher in Belgium and I have a good level of English. As I am not a native speaker, I do not give advanced lessons. People from any age, including kids, can follow my English lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1.

As a polyglot, I can give you examples in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu/Hindi, Punjabi, and German, so if you speak any of these languages, I’ll make sure you have an easier time learning English with me. With this course, I can teach a beginner how to speak English fluently but also creatively, I can teach an intermediate speaker how to take their language skills to the next level, and I can help an advanced English speaker sharpen their presentation skills and academic writing.

I am a Research Master’s student in Philosophy at the KU Leuven from Toronto Canada. My native language is English and I also have background knowledge of French, however, I don’t speak it well.
