I am an Italian native speaker in Leuven until the end of January and I would like to help people improving their knowledge of the Italian language. I am a 24 years old girl from Verona. I study English and Russian for a Master's degree, so I am used to the learning of languages. The lesson could take place in any library or wherever the student wishes.

Hello, I'm Verdiana and I'm a Master student at KU Leuven. I tutor students and offer private lessons since I was 16, thus I've gained quite some experience on the topic. My main focus is on foreign language because I've studied them for 5 years. Here in Leuven though, I would like to teach Italian, my native language. I am Valentina and I am a PhD student in Neuroscience. I was born in Italy, in Trento. I love the teaching of my mother tongue! I have experience in the italian private lessons since three years. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

I am a CEDILS-certified Italian teacher born and raised in Florence, and I've also been a language student myself for a long time! Ciao! I'm Valeria, a Southern Italian wanderer, willing to help you learn her native language. I studied foreign languages (French, English, Spanish, Russian) and got a Master's Degree in Modern Languages for International Cooperation at the University of Bari. I worked as an Italian teacher in reception centres for asylum seekers for 5 years and also taught Italian language as a volunteer in Italy and abroad to people of all ages. Hello everybody! My name is Isabelle and I have been a French teacher for several years. I have an A2 Baccalaureate, I have worked in several companies and in several places, in particular in Monte-Carlo and Algiers when I was in marketing at ABB. Currently I live between Nice (France) and Milan (Italy) where I give French lessons to Italians who require either academic support or to improve their level in preparation for the DELF or DALF. In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course). As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).

I am an external Italian curator during the official “Plida” certifications. I have a C1 level in English and Spanish, I am also an Italian speaker and have extensive experience teaching children.
