My way of teaching is to focus on developing confidence in using the tools for realizing your creative potential. Teaching is very important to me; to impart knowledge to a student and see them grow musically is something I find highly rewarding. In classes (held both online and offline with safety precautions in place) I focus on each student’s individual needs and cover DAW’s necessary for their aims, from Ableton Live, to Bitwig and Logic. Bio: Hayden is a classically trained composer and sound artist from the UK, currently based in Berlin. His interest in the space between strains of acoustic and electronic music and attentiveness to composition acts as a connecting thread in his multiple artistic projects. Besides performing with his solo project, Hayden also acts as leader of the critically acclaimed band Tether, performs as an instrumentalist, and works as a sound designer for advertising, film, and theater. He has designed soundscapes for Ableton, Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin, and Cashmere Radio amongst others.

I studied music production at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the mentorship of King James Britt, and at Abbey Road in London. I am well versed in most audio software (Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X), using all of these in a professional setting for over 5 years. Currently, I work as an audio engineer, mixing and mastering songs for clients as well as recording in major studios across the city, as well as working remotely for the studio that I started in Oxford (Lenka's Studios). I would love to help you reach your specific goals in Audio production and pass on my knowledge. Students can bring their works in Progress for feedback and to be worked on, or they can ask in advance to learn more about a specific area of audio production (For example, recording techniques for drums or piano, mixing techniques for live recordings or for electronic music). The Tecla y Música Workshop is a space designed to learn and develop your musical and expressive sense through the piano and / or keyboards. The main objective is to learn to make music and enjoy the learning process and its results. The material with which we work (songs, instrumental pieces and exercises) is mainly oriented to your musical taste, and the choice is based on gradually expanding your technical and expressive possibilities, while exploring different musical styles. In this way, different tools are being incorporated to achieve, in a short term, mastery and fluency over the musical language and the instrument. Given that each student has different interests and concerns, whether playing as a hobby or developing a professional career, composing, improvising, etc., the orientation of the classes is built according to the possibilities and particular needs of each case. The work proposal implies a weekly class frequency to achieve optimal work dynamics and that the results are visible in a short term.
