I am a native American English speaking instructor, editor, journalist, and legal/policy expert from Florida specializing in instruction, interview and exam prep, consulting and text correction for a wide range of professionals & students across Belgium including in the legal, academic, policy, and other fields. My past & present clients have included: professionals and politicians from all four major EU institutions, the Belgian government, the UNHCR, and various NGOs, alongside diplomats, doctors, journalists, and engineers, as well as a variety of other professions in addition to traditional students..I have had over 50+ repeat students on Apprentus (which recently changed their algorithm to only display the last six months). I offer secondary school level language courses for French, English and Russian. It is possible, if the student wishes, to take more advanced courses in French and Russian. I review grammar, spelling and pronunciation. I also offer syntax correction services.

This class is for those wanting to craft and develop communication skills for public speaking and presentations. I specialise in creating speeches using compelling and masterful language designed to influence a small or large audience. The techniques used will enhance your level of calm, confidence, and charisma as you conduct public presentations. Regardless if your native tongue is in English, French, Dutch or etcetera the communication skills you will learn from this class will be life changing. Some of the communication techniques used will teach you how to influence others at the unconscious level and will give you a high degree of composure and command over the individuals, groups and audiences. Assisting those preparing presentations in English is my specialty.

As a linguist, I never judge a speaker no matter how good or bad they are. I have every needed skill to help you to make your speaking closer to the standard French spoken in Belgium or France. I continually adapt the teaching (phonetics, grammar, syntax, etc...) to the needs of the students. According to your needs, we can work on speaking, writing, or both.

Having studied Latin for years at the Institut Saint-Boniface Parnasse, I offer Latin lessons for secondary school students (from the first year to rheto) or people who wish to improve their mastery of the language.

I'm a 33 years old french teacher and I've been living here in Brussels for 11 years, 8 of them as a french teacher. Before that I studied political sciences and had a couple of experiences in public communication. As a teacher, I gave classes in languages centers (such as Berlitz or Semantics), so I worked and continue working in different environments like lawyer cabinets, hospitals, companies or NGO based in Brussels or with people learing french through unemployment programs). But I also give private lessons, like the one we might do together. This brought me to work with different linguistic, cultural and professionnal backgrounds as well as with very different age classes (from 5 to 65). My class is essentially based on improving communication skills, that is to say that I give an advantage to the practice of verbal expression, through simulations (of professional situations, like doing a public presentation or conducting a meeting,...) and conversation (around documents and medias like articles, audiovisual items,...). Nevertheless, when learning or doing the revision of grammar points is needed, I organize grammar items to work on too (the use of the subjonctif, la concordance des temps, how to express hypothesis,...). For that, I use primarly the book Grammaire Progressive du Français but can also use different material (I worked with some product of the editions Alter Ego more centered on workplace oriented needs for example). So my methode is "taylor-made" as I adapt the content around the needs of each students in term of their communication objectives.
