I offer my services to help your children achieve their academic goals, whether it is for the little ones who are discovering reading and writing, or for teenagers in the middle of preparing for exams. I also have experience with university students who needed a helping hand in certain subjects. Patient and attentive, I adapt to the specific needs of each student, offering them personalized support to help them progress at their own pace and with confidence. In terms of education, I followed a Preparatory Class for the Grandes Écoles in France (literature, philosophy, history, geography and languages), and obtained a bachelor's degree in English Language, Literature and Civilization. I then continued with a master's degree in British and American translation and civilization. I had the chance to work for two years at the Lycée Français Jean Monnet in Brussels, where I acquired solid experience with students of all ages and a good understanding of the expectations of the school system. Graduate teacher offers an individualized pedagogy, assistance with the preparation of questions or exams. My goal is to advance the student without overburdening him. I have more than three years of experience as an English teacher in schools, English language academies, businesses and private lessons. In general I teach with maximum effort that the student expresses himself as much as possible in English so that he can have a better mastery of the language.

What to expect? Young children - More of a game/activity learning method but also involves learning a broad scheme of things. It is in a way, an introduction to the basics of the language. Teenagers - Usually involve set goals to reach by a certain period (for school). The teaching method and intensity depends on the amount of catching up to do. If no catch up is required a more friendly learning method can be applied depending on the learner's interests. Adults - More of a discussion-based learning method, depending on the experience of the learner. And can be oriented more towards specific subjects or domains chosen by the learner. It can involve course work or tasks to be done. Why me? I was born in Scotland but I grew up mostly in the french-speaking part of Belgium so I would say that both English and French are my natal languages. I have decent knowledge of the various English cultures, vocabulary, and grammar. Having traveled for a year in North America and having lived in Australia, Ireland, and Britain. My mother is an english teacher in a secondary school and has given private english lessons ever since we moved to Belgium when I was six years old . I have participated or helped in many classes when needed. I have access to a ton of material and her personal knowledge if I or we are experiencing a problem that we can't seem to solve. Or an issue the learner is experiencing that is preventing him/her from advancing. I am a very "auto-ditact" person who tries to maximize the resources I have and the ones I have access to. I am good at understanding and solving problems and I believe that I can apply this to teaching as well. I am a very professional person that tries to stay as relaxed and calm as possible. I am also extremely patient and have a lot of dedication. If there is a deadline and a goal to meet, I will try my very best to make things work. Additional info I also know the humiliation that we sometimes feel when speaking a foreign language. I try to be as impartial and non-judgemental as I can in order to make the person feel as relaxed as possible when communicating with them.

I can teach you to speak Portuguese, English and Spanish. My native language is Portuguese and I am practically native in English so you can expect us to work together and to highly develop both languages. I am an accounting student whose mother tongue is English. My level in mathematics is suitable for primary school students as well as for students in the 1st to 4th years of secondary school. I am a 26 year old teacher currently living in Brussels, Belgium. I was born in Istanbul, in a Greek and Armenian family. Turkish and Greek are my native languages. I studied English language teaching & Journalism at Marmara university. Currently, I am a senior in Greek language and literature. To me, being a learner is a full-time profession! I have received my DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) by Cambridge University. I believe learning a language should be based on communication. After obtaining my Master degree in applied communication, specialization in advertising and commercial communication at IHECS (2016), I worked two years in communication (fields: culture, e-learning and literature) and I then spent Aggregation of Higher Secondary Education in Information and Communication while working as an extra-curricular facilitator for kindergarten and primary school students (2018-2019). I gave classes in Media Education, Social Sciences, French and History-Geography in various schools in Brussels. I was an animator at the Patro for 9 years and trainer animators for 5 years. I am very enthusiastic and ready to go further to help others. I observe students to adapt my teaching method to their needs and I do extensive research, both on the subject and methods of learning to answer all their questions.

I grew up in the United States and completed my studies in the US as well. I have taught English to people of all ages and skill levels. I like to focus on communication and verbal expression from the very beginning, as I have found speaking is the quickest way to learn. I then incorporate small readings, like short news articles, so that the most useful and necessary parts of the language are learned first.
