The recorder is a great instrument to learn either on its own or as a springboard for transferring to other instruments! As a beginner, you or your child can expect to learn the basics of music notation and how to read it, and how to play simple pieces on the recorder. Intermediate and advanced students can expect more nuanced lessons on technique, musicality, phrasing, and more. Basic theory and aural skills training will be incorporated throughout, and students can work towards graded exams if they wish. Let me introduce myself. I am Ángeles, an Andalusian in Finland, finishing my master degree in Music Performance at the prestigious Sibelius Academy with great professor Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. I came to Helsinki two years ago seeking for a personal and cultural growth, with huge passion for music and the need to share it. I discovered in violin teaching a new path to that energy to come true, to materialize, by inspiring and leading enthusiastic students to their best performance. The starting level and goals of the student will determine the direction of the lessons.
