I am a 24 year-old HBO student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam who plays Bassoon. I consider music an essential part of our lives and our culture and, therefore, its learning is necessary so that we can enrich and develop fully as human beings. The bassoon offers lots of remarkable and distinguished qualities, that you can only achieve by learning this particular instrument, with a very characteristic sound.

The Bass guitar lessons are given at all levels from beginners to advanced / professionals. You learn how to play the instrument, with the right attitude and the right technical and theoretical underpinning of everything you want to learn. A somewhat broader music theoretical knowledge can also be taught. Customization is provided to the student's wishes. The music theory lessons provide insight into how western music theory functions and how it is applied in practice. Exercises are also done to develop the hearing and music theoretical exercises are done on the basis of either piano, guitar or bass guitar. The aim is to understand what the theory behind music is and why it functions that way. The Guitar (or Piano) lessons are only given at beginners level. The basic skills of the instrument are taught and an insight is also given into simple music theoretical issues with which the student can benefit from these acquired insights until a much more advanced stage and make faster progress on his/her instrument.

In her career as a recording artist, she has released multiple EPs under the duo 'Micah & Julia' and traveled to Nashville to collaborate with Grammy Winning Songwriter, Femke Weidema, before joining her label, LV Music. SING WITH MARIO! The 45-minute vocal performance class (held in a studio room) entails a multidimensional approach that focuses on vocal technique, performative mindset and artistic skills for singers, also offering numerous opportunities for vocal competitions around the world (through the World Association of Performing Arts, WAPA). In addition to Mario's 17 years of experience on stage and on camera, he has professional experience as a vocal coach. A lesson with Mario begins with vocal warm-up exercises (10 minutes); then, all vocal/performative/artistic skills are being taught through singing a song of the child/teenager's choice (30 minutes). The class ends with evaluation, advice and suggestion of exercises (5 minutes) so that the student can practice at home until the next class. If you are a parent and would like to introduce your child to the art of music, Mario will create a fun learning environment and make the classes interesting, dynamic and entertaining. Water, tea, candies, or any other drink/snacks that your child would like will be provided for inspiration! Technology as the basis for fun! In my singing lessons, the voice is of course central, but the voice is part of a larger whole, the body. In order to make the voice sound optimal, special attention is therefore required for posture and breathing. Many important exercises are therefore aimed at this. But besides technique, imagination, fantasy and vocal expression are also essential parts that I work with during my singing lessons. The aim is to discover their own sound sources together with the students and to develop everyone's vocal possibilities as far as possible. Breathing technique, energy balance, and of course especially fun in singing are central.

You'll learn how to use the voice in the proper way, starting by your natural speech and developing it to find your own sound. I have experience in both Pop and Jazz styles (a Bachelor in Jazz Singing and a degree in Jazz Composition), so it's possible to study songs from both this repertoires. I also give Music Theory Lessons, to make the student develop his/her own style and musical sensibility and, in the case of Jazz, to know how to improvise on different chord changes and jazz styles.

During my singing lessons we’ll focus on your vocal technique to increase your vocal range, build vocal strength and stamina, improve your breathing and gain control over your instrument . We’ll work on multiple musical and vocal styles, sing high and low notes with ease, and most importantly, we’ll focus on finding your own voice while having fun doing it. All you need for these lessons is passion for singing and a song of your choice. During the first lesson we’ll discuss your goals and wishes and have a little try at a few vocal exercises. Next, we’ll work on the song of your choice with the focus on the things you’d like to improve. After the lesson you’ll receive a little summary of your strengths, focus points and a plan with how we’ll work to achieve your goals. There will always be a small homework or exercise you’ll need to work on at home to help you achieve what we planned. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced!

I am 21 years old and I am currently a flute student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I finished my studies in conservatories in France and obtained a license in music and musicology at the Sorbonne (Paris IV).
