Italian lessons with native speaker, all levels, school support

Do you love Italian people, history, and food and you would like to speak the language? I am a CEDILS-certified Italian teacher born and raised in Florence, and I've also been a language student myself for a long time! If you want to be able to interact with Italians quickly, I can give you some tips about correct pronunciation, fundamental grammar, and vocabulary, but also Italian art and popular culture, which I think is fundamental to understanding the mentality and the country that you are going to interact with. Lessons will be tailored according to the student's needs, level, and mother language and focused on the conversation. I am also available to proofread your writings.

A bit about me, I am Cloé, I am half Italian and French but always lived in Florence, Italy, and now study in The Hague. I miss my home country so I decided to spread "Italianity" by teaching it to whoever wants to learn our beautiful language. Studying Italian will open a gateway for you onto one of the world's most beautiful languages and one of its richest cultures. Because of the history of the country, Italian is not just the language of Italy but of the world. You'll discover our culture and impress your family by ordering with confidence at an authentic Italian restaurant or directly in Italy. I'll help you learn the basics of the language or if you already have an advanced level we'll practice speaking skills and more advanced facts about Italy, far from the typical stereotypes.

We will focus on developing communication skills and incorporating a variety of activities to best meet different learning styles and needs. Depending on your level we will also develop your speaking and listening skills to communicate on familiar and general topics and will be able to read and write short texts on everyday subjects.

Italian and Indonesian are not widely spoken languages, however, both the Italian and Indonesian community are spread across the world and I have noticed that many are the mixed Italian and Indonesian families living in the Hague! My classes are not special, they are simply meant for children and adults who wish to have someone who they can talk to and improve either Italian or Indonesian. My classes will “offer” you a friend who can stimulate you to speak the language and learn the everyday language without being particularly ambitious. Sometimes what it counts is to understand the everyday language culture and not being afraid to speak. That’s what you to grasp for my classes. Perfection is awesome but confidence and fluency are admirable and appealing!

In our first class, I will discuss with you what you want to focus on (conversation, grammar, vocabulary, etc.) and we will design together the course. I do believe that tailored classes are way more efficient. That's why I would like to talk to you about your needs and what you want to achieve with the classes, in order to make the perfect program and make the best out of the time we have. My goal is to make you improve your language skills while getting passionate about the Italian language. I will try to provide fun and interesting material and create nice activities aimed at improving your skills while never getting bored.
