This is how I learned English and Spanish and I would like to help others to learn Italian, the language of love, good food and amazing places.

Need help with Italian, Spanish, or French? I’m a native Italian speaker who grew up in Spain, so I’m fluent in both Italian and Spanish. I also studied French and earned the European Baccalaureate, so I can confidently help you with all three languages, whether you’re a beginner, need exam prep, or just want to improve your conversation skills. I work with kids, students, and adults, anyone looking to learn or improve their language skills.I have a C1 on the three languages (according to the European Baccalaureate, but I am in the process of getting the official certificates) and plenty of experience helping others, especially kids (I have many siblings, so I know how to keep learning fun and engaging!). I'm an international student in Groningen, currently I'm on my second year of studying International Communication at Hanze University of Applied Sciences. I sadly do not speak any Dutch, therefore the lessons will be taught in English, I also do not have a place to hold the lessons so we can do it online or I can travel to your place! I am Paola, Italian girl of 23 years old, currently studying as a Master's student at RUG. I am Sofia, 25 years old, Italian teacher with a Bachelor degree in Italian Literature at the University of Milan and a Master at the University of Friborg, (CH), currently living in Groningen. I come from a city near Milan, where since for years I thaught Italian to foregners living in the city as a tool for intercultural communication and intergration. For the past 4 years, I have been teaching Italian professionally, with students of different levels, from absolute beginners to advanced, younger and adults, online (students mostly from Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands) and offline (students from all the world) . I have experience as a middle school teacher in Italy and as an Italian for foreigners intern in the Dante Alighieri Institute (Italian cultural institute) of Innsbruck, Austria. Learn how to speak italian from a native speaker, my name is Damiano and i come from south italy. I'm here for studying classical music at the Prins Claus Conservatorie (Hanze) and i can teach you to undestand and how to speak italian properly with the righ grammar and accent.

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course). As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).
