In this class, you will learn colour theory, smudging and blending, the best paper and pastels to use, and all other little tips and tricks I have picked up along the way, from my own experience of painting with pastels over the past ten years. Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board.
