I offer Mandarin lessons for people who want to learn the language and be able to communicate in everyday life. Beyond learning to write, I offer to work on pronunciation and listening, essential prerequisites for oral expression and comprehension. I adapt my lessons to the needs of the student, whether they are new learners, false beginners or already have a solid foundation but wish to strengthen their communication skills. Having learned traditional Chinese (used in Taiwan), it is this form of writing that I teach in writing, oral communication being undifferentiated between mainland China and other Chinese-speaking countries. However, I use the phonetic system of pinyin to simplify teaching. My mastery of Chinese being above all oral, I propose to work on all aspects relating to pronunciation (Chinese initials and finals, isolated tones and in context) for beginners, and the fluidity of oral expression for more advanced levels.
