I lived abroad for over 25 years: in Great Britain where I taught FLE, then in Belgium where I worked with European institutions on projects, and finally in Italy for 20 years where I was called upon to teach FLE at the University of Turin and where, at the same time, I directed cultural projects linked to French-speaking literature at a local institution, il Circolo dei Lettori. My FLE teaching is different from others, pragmatic, progressive and tailor-made. Why ? Because before teaching, I had to personally confront learning languages: English, then Spanish, Portuguese and finally Italian.
