I studied music in Spain, Poland and now at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I have been teaching for so many years and I adapt the lessons to all the levels and to what would you like to improve. If you are interested in music theory (history of music, music theory, harmony...) or in learning flute! Just go for it!!

My name is Texenén, I am a flute/piccolo player living in Maastricht with more than 15 years of teaching experience. If you want to learn how to play this amazing instrument; if you already know but would love to take it out of the storage room and enjoy it again; if you need help to study the pieces you have to play in your wind band; or if you want to prepare exams, competitions or auditions I am here to help you to reach your goals. I have taught in music academies, masterclasses, and private lessons, from beginners to advanced students. I will work to help my students to improve their skills and keep them motivated. With my bachelor's and master's degrees as well as my bachelor's degree in musical education from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and years of experience playing the flute, I am well prepared to pass on my passion for music to anyone who wants to learn to play the flute. Over the last ten years, I have taught students of all ages - from children to teenagers and adults - to play the flute, recorder, alto flute and piccolo. I have developed a flexible and individually adapted teaching concept that responds to the needs of each individual - be it for fun, to prepare for competitions or to prepare specifically for entrance exams. I look forward to discovering the joy of music together with you!

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Saxophone and Flute tuition from Grade 3 upwards, specialising in jazz and popular music theory and improvisation, ABRSM and Trinity exams. Geni is a saxophonist and flautist specialising in; jazz, funk, reggae, pop, and soul. As a musician she has played in every conceivable genre from Black Star (formally Carcass) to Michael Franti and Spearhead, Jackie Lomax to Michael League and Co. As a promoter Geni has been running, and raising funding for, Liverpool's 'Parrjazz' for 13 years, promoting UK jazz acts such as Soweto Kinch and Go Go Penguin alongside International guests such as Snarky Puppy and Ghost - Note Geni is also a tutor at Liverpool university and WaterBear college of Music, and has worked as private mentor for many years, also on Breaking The Record, a programme created to empower women in music.

I teach instrumental lessons (face to face from my Music Studio and online) on flute, piano, singing, saxophone and clarinet, as well as music theory. I also offer general musical skills sessions for young children who are not quite old enough to learn one specific instrument yet. I have experience as a Music Teacher and Lecturer for schools and colleges, so I also offer help with GCSE and A-Level Music. I attend regular Safeguarding training and I have an advanced DBS on the update service. I also have experience working with children who have special educational needs and EHCP’s. Learning music and an instrument as well as being part of a group or ensemble, is about much more than becoming a performer. I choose repertoire of various genres for students to explore different sounds and styles, with some being quicker to learn but effective, to build a more instant satisfaction and confidence within the group, while other pieces are more technical, allowing students to challenge themselves. As well as being a solo Flautist, Singer, and Saxophonist, I am part of an acoustic Classical Flute and Guitar duo, a Folk duo, a Jazz ensemble and a Folk Rock band, performing at weddings, private functions, festivals and events.

Learn to play; to decipher the scores and improvise by ear or by reading and analyzing chord charts. This course will adapt to your level of play: simple harmonies for beginners and more complex depending on the degree of mastery of the instrument. This course also includes a thorough introduction to harmony.

A graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (Jazz), I have been involved in music my whole life, and a freelance professional since 2022. I have worked regularly in big bands and function bands across the UK and internationally.
