Hello! I am Inês, a professional violinist based in Amsterdam. After completing my Bachelor at Codarts-Rotterdam and my Master and Postgraduate in violin performance at the Koniklijk Conservatory Brussel, I am currently active as a freelance violinist and perform regularly in chamber music concerts, having played in festivals such as the Grachten Festival, OUTDOORS, Opera Forward Festival, Uitmarkt, among others. I am also passionate about teaching, and have experience working both in individual lessons with a wide range of ages and in conducting group workshops for children. Wether you are taking your first steps with the violin or if you have played it before and want to pick it up again, I will guide you through developing your musical ear, cultivating a solid and healthy technique, reading music scores fluently, and mostly - to enjoy playing music!

I’m a violinist who just graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Under Eliot Lawson’s tutoring, and who now studies with Lisa Jacobs. I have a lot of experience teaching and performing in several countries around Europe. During my lessons, I hope to not only help you become a better violinist and overall musician, so I will not only give you musical and technical insight, but also a sprinkle of music theory. The viola is a wonderful instrument, it has a warm and passionate voice and is characterized by its sweetness and softness in both the low and high registers. If you are interested in learning to play the viola - classical or baroque - or feel the need to improve your skills, or if you have to prepare for an exam or an audition, just send me a message and I will gladly be your viola teacher! Being an instrument that is not as comfortable as the violin, sound production in the viola needs special attention. In my lessons I try to increase in my students the ability to perceive and recognize the position of their body in space and the state of contraction of their muscles. We will talk about pure instrumental technique and make music together, but we will also speak about self-awareness, relaxation techniques and posture. Studying the viola can thus become a transcendental way to discover the potential of your body and mind.
