French as a Second Language taught at GCSE or A Level level

Born and raised in France but educated partly in Australia. I am very used to handling relationships with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. My method is to structure courses in two halves: conversations on specific news, social or cultural topics with the help of videos, pictures or articles and then focusing on the main vocabulary or grammar issues faced. This method is particularly adapted for students who have had a first scholar basis in french but who have not practised for a long time and want to upgrade their level in a daily conversational context. Alternatively, for students learning French as a second language at school, I will gladly help with the homework and focus on the main difficulties.

As a French native speaker, I can work with you on your French language class homework, and go through grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and anything you don't understand well. I have some general knowledge of French literature, so if your homework consists of more advanced tasks like analyzing a text or writing essays, that's something we can do too.

I am perfectly bilingual Italian and French so I can give lessons for all levels. I am available for face-to-face (in Amsterdam) or remote lessons depending on your preference. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics.
