Chinese is a complex language but don't let that stop you from learning it. My lessons will focus on communication and pronoucniation as I believe they will give students the confidence they need to pursue learning any language. I will use pinyin as a method of teaching native pronounciation. There will be writing templates prepared to help with correct writing. I am flexible to offer any help with the language depending on the student's familiarity of the language. Unfortunately I do not speak Dutch, but I do speak fluent English so I will be able to translate from Chinese to English for better understanding.

Professionele ervaring Momenteel ben ik docent Italiaans bij de Volksuniversiteit Delft, na eerder vier jaar les te hebben gegeven bij de Volksuniversiteit Rotterdam. Naast mijn werk als docent ben ik ook professioneel zanger van traditionele Italiaanse volksliederen. Deze passie integreer ik graag in mijn lessen, omdat muziek een krachtige tool is om een taal te leren. Bekende teksten en melodieën maken het leerproces niet alleen leuker, maar ook effectiever. Vaak begeleid ik mijn zang met gitaar, wat zorgt voor een authentieke Italiaanse sfeer. Lesmethode Voor beginners gebruik ik een toegankelijk leerboek dat stap voor stap de basis van het Italiaans uitlegt. Tijdens de lessen verbeter ik onmiddellijk fouten in zinnen of uitspraak, zodat je meer zelfvertrouwen krijgt in het spreken. Mijn aanpak is praktisch en interactief: elke fout biedt een kans om iets nieuws te leren, of het nu een woord, een grammaticale regel, een anekdote of een culturele context is. Daarnaast besteden we aandacht aan de Toscaanse keuken en cultuur, zodat je niet alleen de taal leert, maar ook de rijke Italiaanse levensstijl ervaart. Voor gevorderde werk ik met meer geavanceerde teksten, actuele onderwerpen en conversaties, zodat je jouw taalvaardigheid blijft ontwikkelen. Hi, I am Firoozeh. I majored in English Language & Literature and have been teaching English for more than 10 years. Having classes in group and private sessions, with different range of ages gave me a lot of experience to know the needs of a language learner better and consequently come up with suitable methods for different requests. Personally I believe learning a new language can be both fun and tricky at times and it would be more effective if it was handled methodologically by a language expert. it is said "the best method is no method" which means everyone has his own way and as a language teacher it would best answer when you saw your learner's requirements specifically. Some may find books better while the others have more fun with films and videos when learning. So I believe it is best to see your learners through the learning process for better adoption, also depending on the purpose of learning a language, the focus can shift from one skill to the others. as one's require might be to improve his vocabulary skill, strengthening listening can be essential for the other. Besides all the techniques applied, I highly follow a friendly atmosphere to leave my learners with some enjoyable learning moments and fill them with so much enthusiasm. Do you want to learn a new language in a fun and interesting way? Why not french? France is only a few kilometers away from Netherlands ! I'm a native English speaker from the USA, living in Rotterdam. In my job as an engineer, I regularly help colleagues with their written and spoken English. I'm available to help you practice English on a regular basis on weeknights. I mainly work with students and professionals in technical fields who are interested in refining their English writing and speaking skills. I also speak fluent Dutch, as well as some Spanish and French, so I'm familiar with common English mistakes and understand what's causing them. Examples of lessons: - Reviewing written documents together, and identifying recurring errors (work emails, proposals, reports, etc.). - General conversation practice, and presentation practice. I will listen, take notes, and provide feedback on pronunciation and grammar, while we discuss various topics. - Practice speaking exercises in preparation for IELTS exams. - Assistance with job applications (reviewing English CVs and cover letters). I do not teach beginners courses in English, as I have a full-time job and this would require longer/more frequent lessons, and I do not have the training/background required to teach basic English. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
