With over ten years of experience as a guitarist and vocalist, I’ve had the privilege of performing across the UK in several touring bands. My musical journey has seen me perform in genres ranging from funk, indie, to rock. This course is an introduction to contemporary music theory. It covers music theory from a practical approach, aiming to provide contemporary musicians with the necessary theory knowledge to communicate effectively within an ensemble situation, as well as develop their individual skills as music practitioners. Each class focuses on a particular element of music theory. After the initial explanation, practical application is explored, giving the students the opportunity to test their knowledge, and clear any doubts.
