Want to begin your music learning journey? Do you already play an instrument, but want to gain a new level of mastery? I provide lessons in violin, viola, piano, and music theory in central Cardiff. I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, and I pride myself in being able to adapt to my students' individual needs. I teach from initial level through to diploma and welcome students of all ages.

Music is the way one can express everything when given 100 with dedication. I completed my trinity college of London grades in both keyboard and guitar and also diploma in vocal carnatic Indian music. I will give my best service to make you enjoy each of my classes with new strategies.

This class is designed to support people to understand and appreciate music in a broad and holistic way. There is a focus on developing methods to get the most out of learning an instrument or learning to sing. There is flexibility in what I can cover in the class, and my classes are usually person centred. My desire is to use the skills and knowledge I have gained in my music career so far to help you to achieve your specific goals. I am first and foremost a pianist. I am classically trained but specialised in Jazz at conservatoire level. I also completed a second study in singing during this time. I currently work for my local music service, and have a specialty as a multi-instrumentalist, teaching beginner violin, flute, recorder and trombone. I have also worked for many years as a lecturer and one-on-one teacher for a young performers conservatoire. I also work as a session musician and accompanist, regularly playing all genres of music!

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
