My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player. I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor. I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco. In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso. I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe. I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop. I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3). [ENGLISH, SEE BELOW] A music theory course for anyone who wants to start with a solid foundation in music, or for an already advanced musician who wants to go further. This course is also perfect for an academy or conservatory student who wishes to prepare for the music theory exam. Despite the fact that this is a so-called theoretical course, everything that is seen will first be worked on in a musical context and experienced by the student in order to be assimilated. The theoretical explanations will follow from it by itself. On the program (student's choice) - Ear training (knowing how to rewrite melodies with one or more voices, chords, etc.) - Note readings in one or more keys - Rhythm readings, polyrhythmic work - Encryption and recognition of agreements, - Transposition. This musical theory lesson suits to every level, from the one who wants to learn how to read music to the one who wants to know more about chords, transposition or polyrythms. This lesson is also perfect for a student who wants to prepare an examination. In despite the fact I called these lesson "Musical theory", it is firstly about understanding the music. And that can only be possible by ... doing music. So be aware that we will be singing, playing chords, clapping rhythms, ... My purpose is that the student understand by himself first, then the theory will come naturally. What we can do during a lesson (student can choose): - Ear training (Learn to catch a melody of one or several voices and write it down by ear, recognizing chords, recognizing rhythms, ...) - Rythmical work: learn to clap different rhythms in different time signatures. Also included polyrythms. - Key reading, in one or several keys. - Transposition (learn how to read a flute sheet while you're playing trumpet, ..)

Graduated in cello in Barcelona, finishing my master in historical cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Passionate cellist with a lot of experience in performance and education. I specialize in historically informed music, so I try to understand the context around each music I play, so we enter into a dialogue between current events and the era in which the music was created. In my classes we will learn the basic technique of the cello but also we will look together for what we want to express with the music we make, and techniques more adapted to the era.

Hi! I'm Lara, and I've been happily tutoring and supporting music theory, solfeggio and harmony for a number of years. Are you struggling with this and are you looking for help? I'm Giorgos and i teach Lute and Classical guitar! I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and have studied and have my Degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, both in Classical Guitar as well as Historical Plucked instruments. I regularly perform in concert halls with orchestras and groups all around Europe, perform with my own ensembles based in Brussels and Italy, and enjoy an active teaching schedule. My aim with teaching is to find the best way to facilitate the student to find their own voice and direction, and to help steer them on their preferred road of performance. The schedule and repertoire are decided by the student, and we plot a course together depending on your goals, whether that's aiming to place into an academy or the conservatories, or if you just enjoy playing music as a hobby and wish that it accompanies you through your life! In my opinion, the student is the main actor in his learning, and the teacher should be his caring guide. The image of the harsh and cold teacher should therefore be forgotten with me. My philosophy is always to encourage without imposing.
