I am Henry, concert pianist, currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player. I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor. I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco. In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso. I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe. I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop. I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3). My method is based on serious and rigorous practice (while taking into account the student's ambitions) as well as learning most often by ear. This is indeed how music can be truly integrated over the long term. I would be delighted to work with serious and determined students.

During my training, I had the opportunity to study with famous teachers with whom I was able to discover different violin techniques and different pedagogical approaches, which allowed me to create my own methodology. If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

In my classes, you can learn how to play the Chinese bamboo flute (dizi) or xiao. If you’re interested in orchestral conducting or music theory, I also offer related courses. Bamboo Flute Course: You will learn how to play the Chinese bamboo flute and continuously improve your performance skills throughout the course. You can choose to learn the bamboo flute or xiao and play classical pieces or your favorite songs. Orchestral Conducting: If you need to prepare for related exams or are interested in orchestral conducting, I can help you prepare the necessary repertoire through score reading, analysis, and conducting techniques during the course. Music Theory: Music theory courses are available for children, providing a solid theoretical foundation to enhance their musical learning and make progress much faster!

This applied music theory course is for any passionate musician, regardless of level. It aims to broaden his musical knowledge and abilities by understanding music as a whole. The goal is to be able to decode and understand how a music (not only of classical style, but also pop, jazz, rock, electro, ...) was composed, and to be able to use interesting harmonies oneself. and solid in a personal composition / production. It is made up of two main topics: * Harmony (building chords, understanding chord diagrams, learning to Harmonize a given melody, the possibility or not of using these Harmonies in a given style, etc.). But also understand the key, how to build a scale, how to navigate between different keys, how to transform a classic chord suite into another style? Harmony is a course open to all and all levels, no prerequisites to have. Any passionate musician will find interest in it, that's guaranteed. * Writing is a much more targeted course, which is already an introduction to classical composition. In this branch, we will develop the rules of classical writing (parallel fifths and octaves, false relations etc, ...) within the framework of an exercise based on a given melody or bass (in the first case it will be necessary to invent harmonization and compose a bass, in the second, it will be necessary to invent the harmonization and the melody). Graduated in cello in Barcelona, finishing my master in historical cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Passionate cellist with a lot of experience in performance and education. I specialize in historically informed music, so I try to understand the context around each music I play, so we enter into a dialogue between current events and the era in which the music was created.
