Hello, I'm Sam :) As a music producer I've been working with Ableton live for both recording and making music as well as Live performances. I'm comfortable using Ableton stock plugins but also 3th party plugins such as Fabfilter plugins (Q3, R, L2,...) and making percussive sounds with Serum (or Operator in Ableton). I also do a lot of sounddesign using my prophet 6 or record guitar and make it stand out in the mix. My name is Roman and I have been a composer of electronic music for about ten years. A multi-instrumentalist, I began my musical adventure by playing the guitar and then the piano. After obtaining my Brevet d'Études Musicales, I trained in Computer-Assisted Music (MAO), composition, audio mixing and mastering techniques. I work on Ableton Live software. Today, as an artist-author, I regularly partner with other artists and contribute to a wide variety of live performance and music-for-image projects. For the 2024-2025 season, I am participating in several artistic residencies and stage performances. MY MUSICAL PAST: After many trips abroad, training in jazz piano (Antwerp) and in "electronic music production" at the SAE (Brussels), I released my first EP in November 2017 entitled "Into The Star" which then allowed me to play on several Belgian stages including the Botanique last March. This has never been so true as the present day when you can hear what you compose instantly by using computers to generate and play back your own music. However, to ensure that your music sounds really great there are many principles to be considered. I have had a great interest in composing for over 40 years, composing in a wide variety of styles. Having been a music teacher in a comprehensive school for over 30 years, I have had a lot of very relevant experience in teaching composition to a wide range of different ages and abilities. The class will be personalized to your particular standard and chosen style of composition. If you are a complete novice and have not used computers to create music we can use a web-based programme or a free downloadable programme. On the other hand, if you are familiar with a particular programme that you have installed on your computer we can work through screen sharing and sound sharing to enhance your compositions using my experience.
