The viola is a wonderful instrument, it has a warm and passionate voice and is characterized by its sweetness and softness in both the low and high registers. If you are interested in learning to play the viola - classical or baroque - or feel the need to improve your skills, or if you have to prepare for an exam or an audition, just send me a message and I will gladly be your viola teacher! Being an instrument that is not as comfortable as the violin, sound production in the viola needs special attention. In my lessons I try to increase in my students the ability to perceive and recognize the position of their body in space and the state of contraction of their muscles. We will talk about pure instrumental technique and make music together, but we will also speak about self-awareness, relaxation techniques and posture. Studying the viola can thus become a transcendental way to discover the potential of your body and mind.

Hello! I am offering lessons in classical viola and violin from beginners to more advanced students, also occasional lessons possible, perfect for for example competition or concert preparation. For beginners, we can focus on ergonomical instrument hold, basics of sheet music reading and short, easy pieces. My goal is to make playing exciting and help you find the joy as a beginner. For more advanced students we can focus on technical issues, musicality and interpretation. I have a broad experience as a concert violist, and I have taught beginners for private lessons, and given multiple masterclasses for more advanced students.

I received my Bachelors Degree in Viola Performance at The Juilliard School in 2019, and have since taught music lessons online and in-person since 2013. I have studied Alexander Technique, and always emphasize the importance of physical health and comfort in my instrumental teaching. My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. I have many years of experience with teaching, I do private lessons and I have worked as a teacher for "Tiziano Rossetti International Music Academy in Lugano" for several years. As a teacher my goal is to bring out the best version of my students, using their individual strenghts, which are different for each of them. It's a pleasure for me to teach to anybody who wants even just to discover the art of playing the violin. As a pedagogue, after one month experience in a meditation retreat in Thailand, my approach involves not only focusing on the technical development of the instrument but also paying close attention to the physical and mental well-being of my students. I aim to strike a balance as much as possible between teaching technical skills and musicality, as of course there cannot be one without the other when learning an instrument. Lessons are a mixture of teaching and demonstrating correct posture, finger patterns or body movements, and teaching and engaging a learner with rhythm, pitch and melody, and then combining them together. I am a firm believer in tackling one aspect at a time in lessons and gradually combining it with another aspect of playing. I often include activities such as playing a note and asking the student to match my pitch or sound quality, or including musical games that can develop musical memory and rhythm. The most important aspect of learning any instrument is of course the music! Aiming to help a student find music (or if they have ideas they are welcome to bring them along!) that they love and find absorbing - this can be any genre, as long as it has a tune! I have a variety of books of different levels that I can use to help students find styles that are fun and enjoyable for them. There are technical things that need to be worked on in playing any instrument - but of fundamental importance is that the student has a feel for the music they play and a musical idea of what the end goal of any piece is.
