I’m at your service! I'm offering private cello lessons to new students of all ages and skill levels in English, German or Hungarian languages. I emphasize fun and ease in my approach, listening to the body and tailoring the learning material to your personal goals and musical interest. I mainly teach at my place in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, but I can also go to yours based on individual arrangement. Hi there! My name is Henry and I'm an instrumental and theory teacher based in Manchester. I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2022 in music, specialising in cello performance and theory/analysis, with piano as a second study. I am able to cater my teaching to all ages and abilities, and if you have a particular genre you would like to learn, please feel free to drop me a message and I'm sure I will be able to narrow our focus! I am an Israeli cellist living in Berlin, and for the past years I have been performing in various renowned festival such as Yellow Barn, Lumières d’Europa and Geneva International Academy while pursuing my bachelors degree under the guidance of Prof. Frans Helmerson. Throughout the years, I have always been fascinated with the art of teaching. Through my main mentor, Prof. Zvi Plesser (The Julliard School), I learned more then just cello playing. I learned the value of persistence, search for beauty and expression. I have had the fortune of working and performing with todays most prominent musicians such as Daniel Barenboim, Krzysztof Chorzelski (Belcea Quartet), Donald Weilerstein and Gary Hoffman. Hi! I'm Goeunsol, South Korean Cellist based in Berlin. I teach mostly online, in person at students' location by case. My lessons are welcome for Cellists at all level, beginners, advanced, music students in need to prepare for exams. I am trained with methods such as Suzuki- I as well started myself learning Cello with Suzuki! As a performing musician, I've played as a soloist in a variety of countries, with several national-/international orchestras and have been selected as a Series Performing Artist of Kukje Art Hall in Seoul, having solo recitals every season since 2019. Hi! My name is Alina, I am 22 years old, and I would like to offer you cello lessons. Let me tell you about my education. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the Poznańs Music Academy in Poland, and this year I will finish my master’s degree in Bolzano, Italy. In addition, I completed a three-year pedagogical course in Poland, so I am confident in my abilities to be a good teacher for both adults and children. On my lessons, we can work together to develop a pathway for achieving your professional goals or also learn playing for your personal pleasure.

I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy. Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. Hello! I have been teaching classes continuously for more than 10 years and I would like to explain what you can find in a class with me! - To begin with, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Alert! Maybe I'll even make you sing. - Last but not least, it should be noted that given my training (I studied classical music and modern music and jazz at the Taller de Músics) my tendency will be to give the same importance to different types of music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but for me we can go from baroque to blues, from blues to Haydn's sonatas, from Haydn to bebop and from bebop to Michael Jackson. Why not? Learn to improvise, jam and create your own music. I am a cellist, composer and improviser specialising in working with string players to unlock and devlop creative potential. I will work with you to deveop a bespoke course to help you develop skills in improvisation. Areas covered: Jazz improvisation - Blues, Standards, Harmony, Bass Lines, Finding Chords, Building and Creating Solos, Elarnig repertoire. Baroque Imrpovisation - Ground Bass, Partimento realisation and developing cadenzas for classical repertoire Free/Folk and other styles - we can explore any styles of improvisation, and discuss how to develop your skills. I am a professor of Imrpovisation at the Royal Colege of Music in London, and a composer and performer of my own music internationally.

My teaching method is scrupulously adapted to each student I have, regardless of the subject to work on (musical language, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.) I always apply the Belgian teaching model, where I trained with my master's degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). According to this model, the main thing is a living and practical teaching, taking understanding and not memory as the main learning engine.

My name is Miriam, I am a graduate in Master of Classical Music at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent and currently I am studying a Posgraduate in Musical Performance Practice. I've been teaching cello to children, teenagers and adults for 8 years, so I've acquired the necessary experience to be able to adapt to the different and personal needs and objectives of each student. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. In my lessons I focus on technical and postural questions, but we also reflect together on the music, as I like my students to develop their own musical ideas and not just imitate the teacher.
