I look at previous assignments and assessments, and I use this data to understand what skills to focus on, accordingly with the standards of your country's education system (I'm familiar with the American and German standards). I also take into account, however, what exists outside of the data, including interests and needs not specified on paper. I tailor my lessons then to be worth everyone's time. I foster skills in research, organization, and writing so that students will continue benefiting long after our sessions. I utilize tools, such as games, and projects to take learning off the page. My courses are aimed at primary and secondary school students, but I also take on working adults and college and graduate-level students as I support effective literacy at every level.
