I am looking forward to share my passion for Sciences with you! I offer private tutoring lessons using interactive approaches and methods adapted to each student. Lessons can be given in English or French. I recently obtained a Masters in Biomedical engineering at ETH Zurich and I have a large experience in applied Mathematics, Physics and Biology. The lessons I am offering are suitable for any level - from beginners to advanced students - both for secondary school and University programs. E' importante poter comunicare sin da subito in Italiano, indipendentemente dal livello di conoscenza da cui si comincia; proprio per questo le lezioni sono principalmente in Italiano e pongono particolare attenzione al lessico. Le mie lezioni si rivolgono inoltre a chi sta scrivendo "papers" (tesi di laurea, testi universitari, conferenze, articoli, mail di lavoro) e ha bisogno di correzioni, feedback o di un commento. Per chi conosce bene l'Italiano e desiderasse studiare o approfondire un particolare autore o un testo letterario, sono disponibile per analisi, letture e lezioni specifiche sul tema richiesto. I am offering personalized Italian lessons, based on the needs and preferences of the student. I am available both to those who want to start discovering this language and to those who already have a good level of knowledge of Italian and wish to master it. It is important to be able to communicate right from the start in Italian, regardless of the level of knowledge you are beginning from; for this very reason, lessons are mainly in Italian and place particular emphasis on dialogue. My lessons are also aimed at those who are writing “papers” (dissertations, university texts, conferences, articles, work emails) and need corrections, feedback or commentary. For those who know Italian well and would like to study or explore a particular author or literary text, I am available for analysis, readings and specific lessons on the required topic.

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice. For intermediaries: We will deepen the knowledge of the language and consolidate basic constructions, while adding new knowledge. The goal at this level is to begin to express more complex thoughts and, above all, to be able to express oneself independently. For the advanced: The enrichment of the Italian language and the expression of emotions and opinions will be at the heart of our work. The materials I use come from books, manuals, videos, podcasts, and are personalized for each of my students.

A pharmacist with 5 years of experience teaching biology. It is a great and very enjoyable science in which the student sees the Creator’s power and creativity in his creation. The student will learn what is required of him in his curriculum and enjoy learning this great science in addition to developing his skills in studying it through a simplified explanation and illustrative means and solving the school assignments required of him with it.

I completed Biology HL in IB with a 6 overall. I am now studying it at the university level and am ready to help students struggling with IB Biology SL. I am familiar with the syllabus and can help students break down complex topics into simpler concepts that are easy to digest. We will begin with a lesson in order to get to know each other and see whether our goals align. We will discuss what exactly you need help with and make a weekly tutoring schedule. At the end of every class I expect students to let me know what they need help with next time or tell me 3 days before the next lesson at the latest. This ensures each class makes the most of our time together. At the beginning of the next lesson we will do a few practice questions to revise out previous class and continue with the next desired topic. Biology is particularly a challenging subject because it requires you to first understand the enormous number of concepts and then memories it simultaneously. I'll teach biology through the slides I have prepared (ig/GCSE only) which are made from multiple resource, such as marking scheme, the book and examiner reports, this is beneficial as while I teach the concept it will come to the student the exact way the examiner wants the student to answer, and ofcource while learning the slides he will be Able to directly do the past papers as the notes are mastercopy of the source itself. Moreover, I'll make sure that each topic is fully understood by the student so there will be no room for error.

Latin is a rather subtle language and for some, almost enigmatic, as the style, vocabulary and syntax can be confusing. However, a few tips are enough to find your way through what seems like a labyrinth to the uninitiated. Don't panic! A practical method exists that will put you at ease when faced with any Latin challenge. The delicate syntax of this language will no longer be a torture for you and you might even find it fun to practice reading and understanding texts that previously seemed hermetic to you. Reading, analyzing, understanding and translating a Latin text is possible. And even - why not? - writing in Latin.
