French Language For Foreigners (Level : From Beginner to Expert)

Hello ! I am a school coach, that is to say that I can help your child in several subjects and accompany him towards success. Classroom lessons are not for everyone, some children need personalized support. There is no failure or impossibility to understand a subject, there is just a bad method and a lack of self-confidence! Regaining confidence in your ability to understand is important. I travel to my home around the 20th arrondissement of Paris, or give lessons at home. I give lessons in almost all subjects from 6th to 12th grade. If your interest is in American History or Literature (or something more specific: like the "History of Black Empowerment Movements in 20th century America" (the topic of my junior thesis); or "Understanding Faulkner's America"; or "The Berkeley Free Speech Movement", etc...), we can cultivate a course to help you discuss your topic of interest with advanced proficiency in English. I have a BA in History from Middlebury College and a Masters in History Education from NYU Steinhardt. I write songs and scripts and have a beginner's proficiency in French. This class is for everyone.

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language.
