I am a Greek passionate teacher and together we will be a life-long learners, because a great teacher is not afraid to learn right alongside their students. Key words about my method are: passion, creativity, flexibility, integration and connection. Together we will learn not only Greek grammar and syntax but also Greek culture and civilization.

This class is about learning the greek language. The focus is on learning greek in order to communicate in your everyday life (including work) or to obtain the greek diploma. I'm a native speaker teacher who loves to teach the greek language.

Γεια σας 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m Sofia, and I come from the picturesque town of Kavala, located in northern Greece. My academic path has started with a Bachelor's degree in History and Archaeology. Alongside my studies, I've participated in seminars focusing on Teaching Greek as a Second or Foreign Language and Special Education. Recently, I successfully completed my Master of Science in Education and Lifelong Learning and I have embarked into a new journey, by starting a another master in "Education in Science and Technology" in the University of Twente! 🤞🏻 Since 2021, I teach to people, of all ages, from all arround the world the richineess of the greek language. 💫 💙 My goal is to help my students really understand Greek, enabling them to appreciate its cultural heritage and express themselves confidently. This class is for foreigners living in Athens, Greece, that want to learn the basics (and more) of the Greek language for various reasons like business, curiosity to explore the greek language, communicating better with loved ones etc.. You will learn how to understand, listen, read and speak this complicated yet interesting and historic language. I focus a lot on the greek pronunciation and grammar, since those are the sections most foreigners struggle with. Along with the language, you will also learn many ancient greek words, because the modern greek language derives from the ancient greek and the grammar is closely related to it. Last but not least, you will be teached some things about the greek culture and history and if asked, you could learn about greek urban dictionary. I started gaining experience by volunteeringly teaching it to my foreign friends and to refugees since I was 16 years old. Moreover, the fact that I took many language classes growing up ( french, japanese, spanish, english), and still do, helped me learn new patterns from my teachers and apply them in my classes.
