Preferably in my studio, but it can also be at yours. I have been behind the kit for 15 years in different styles (rock, jazz, reggae, afrobeat). I give drum lessons in my music studio in Antwerp South. Beginners, advanced and advanced can come to me and this from young to old. The lessons are individual and fully tailored to the student. Together we look at what you want to achieve and how we approach it.

Together we start from the beginning where many drummers start from. Motor skills, maintaining rhythm and learning to sense musical numbers. Drumming is basically determining how fast/slow a song is played, and when the transitions come. Learning to sense these things is the beginning of the first lessons. We start immediately on the drum kit, and you automatically acquire the knowledge while you play.

In these drum lessons the focus is mainly on playing technique of hands and feet and material. If you struggle with speed or you start playing, good technique is very important. A badly learned technique is also difficult to learn later. You get to know the drum set inside and out, the different types of sticks, the tuning of your drum kit, the choice of sheets and cymbals. I can also help you with the purchase of new material. The lessons take place at the student's home.

Methodology I base my teaching what the student wants to learn and also through years of teaching and learning I can help guide you on this path. I play drums in many different groups, bands, collectives, projects. I have been playing Drums for 13 years, beginning with Rock music and then moved to Jazz where I studied jazz drums at the Conservatory of music and ballet Ljubljana. Starting from the fact that an Epic Intro of each song can determine the success of your artistic compositions, it is important to say that musical composition is a key tool to create and develop songs and concerts, through ensemble rhythms and their Syncopations you will learn to compose Epic Intros with the Afro-Cuban and Latin flavor.
