Flute for Beginners!

Hello everyone! I’m Taras a professional panflute player. I started playing the panflute when I was 5 years old. Ever since then I spent every day improving my skills and perfecting my craft. Throughout my career I had won numerous prices and was able to perform throughout Europe. I’m currently studying at the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I’m teaching private lessons as well as giving masterclasses at festivals. If you are interested in learning to play the panflute or improve your playing skills, I would love to help you along the way. With my years of experience and my wide ranging love of music from folk music to classical to contemporary I’m willing to broaden your musical horizon and bring you a wide range of technique to help you becoming the musician you want to be! I teach from beginners to advanced players. I will help you better understand the instrument and music in general as well as give you an understanding of music theory. My lessons will be tailored to your needs and aspirations for you to see the results you want.

Private lessons for beginners to advanced level of flute playing. All ages are welcome. I am a professionally trained teacher and flutist for almost two decades. My lessons are given in English, Spanish and (soon) Dutch. My teaching method is variable depending on the students' needs, but the goal is shared: to make a great musician and qualified flutist out of the pupil. I work on both technical and musical aspects from a healthy and enjoyable perspective. Particular emphasis on having fun with the little ones! I pay special attention to creating a personalized education and experience for every one of my students. I also give some additional tools applicable to the flute playing which includes: The Inner Game of Music, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique and Body & Mind. All the basic theory is taught too.

I've been teaching saxophone and flute for about 30 years. I studied in Paris and New York with some of the greatest saxophonists, including the great master Barry Harris. Over time, I've developed a pleasant and effective method. I also teach the Alexander Technique, a very effective tool for learning to play with minimal effort. I teach classes for all levels and styles, although I specialize in teaching jazz improvisation.

Hello! I am a professional recorder and flute player with a passion for both early and contemporary music, offering lessons on the recorder, flute, piano, and music theory in the Amsterdam area and online. I graduated with a Master's in recording at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Cum Laude, with a scholarship from The Countess of Munster Musical Trust. Previously, I graduated from the Royal College of Music London with a First-Class Joint Honours Bachelor’s degree in Flute and Recorder. In 2021 I was a finalist for the Moeck/SRP recorder competition as part of the London Early Music Festival. I am an encouraging and dedicated teacher who believes that effective practice, rather than talent, is at the heart of any musical development. I share my expertise in how to practice well, varying your approach to make different connections rather than just repeating things - this also helps to keep practice interesting! I am also keen to help each student find their own voice and expression through music, tailoring lessons to each student's needs and goals. I have specialist knowledge of medieval, renaissance, and baroque music, and can help students to develop skills in historical performance and ornamentation/improvisation. I recently graduated from my Master at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and I would love to be able to share my knowledge with some music and flute lovers! Your level is not relevant at all: if you are passionate about music and especially flute I will be extremely happy to give you lessons! The lesson will be given in English or in Italian if needed!

The content of the course depends on students' specific wishes and goals.

My name is Tatiana and I am a flute player and an electronic musician. My passion for music first started when I was young and my parents showed me Brazilian folk music and I felt that I wanted to be able to play some of my favourite songs. I ended up in a classic conservatory and throughout my career I developed myself both as a classical and folk musician. I started to teach when I was 18 and for 6 years I taught in a project similar to the one of El Sistema in Venezuela. There I found how music can take such a social action on a community and develop the feeling of responsibility and friendship. In our lessons I would love tho share this feeling with you and enable you to develop the tools to share your passion with the world. This can come from playing a song, learning how to program or just by finding new ways on how to hear and experience music. This class is open to anyone from any age.

Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.
