Welcome everyone! My name is Mariela, I am a classical singer, musicologist and singing teacher based in the Netherlands. ••• Are you passionate about singing but you don’t dare to do it in front of others? Are you a member of a choir and want to develop your personal voice technique? Then you have come just to the right place! ••• I have more than 10 years of experience in signing and choir teaching. My method is based on a healthy way of producing sound, trying exercises that benefit the student and that are a totally personal experience. The genre? Your decision! Classical or pop, the choice of repertoire is a two-sided exercise, both you and I create a portfolio that will not only test your voice but will excite you and make your study fun and enjoyable. The classes are individual and last 45 minutes for teenagers and 1 hour for adults. You'll learn how to use the voice in the proper way, starting by your natural speech and developing it to find your own sound. I have experience in both Pop and Jazz styles (a Bachelor in Jazz Singing and a degree in Jazz Composition), so it's possible to study songs from both this repertoires. I also give Music Theory Lessons, to make the student develop his/her own style and musical sensibility and, in the case of Jazz, to know how to improvise on different chord changes and jazz styles.

During my singing lessons we’ll focus on your vocal technique to increase your vocal range, build vocal strength and stamina, improve your breathing and gain control over your instrument . We’ll work on multiple musical and vocal styles, sing high and low notes with ease, and most importantly, we’ll focus on finding your own voice while having fun doing it. All you need for these lessons is passion for singing and a song of your choice. During the first lesson we’ll discuss your goals and wishes and have a little try at a few vocal exercises. Next, we’ll work on the song of your choice with the focus on the things you’d like to improve. After the lesson you’ll receive a little summary of your strengths, focus points and a plan with how we’ll work to achieve your goals. There will always be a small homework or exercise you’ll need to work on at home to help you achieve what we planned. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced!

As a music teacher, my greatest desire is to work with people of all ages, to guide them with different methods according to the way everyone perceives music, and to integrate music into their lives. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I've sung with the Madrid Royal opera chorus and the Radio television in Spain and am an established International soloist in Baroque, opera and Contemporary music. Experienced Oud & Oriental singing teacher for over 8 years, Lebanese, currently residing in Mönchengladbach. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I was a teacher at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also offered private lessons. Additionally, I served as a concertmaster in the oriental orchestra "Loubnan Assalam" for more than 5 years. My reason for relocating to Germany is to complete my studies at the University of Kamp Lintfort. I am fluent in English, Couramment en français, ولغتي الأم هي اللغة العربية. Unfortunately, I speak only a little German (Aber leider spreche ich ein bisschen Deutsch). My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Dedication and hard work can yield significant progress within a year, enabling you to play simple tunes. However, if you lack a passion for music or the instrument itself, I advise against pursuing it. As a friendly and passionate teacher, I derive joy from witnessing my students' progress and enjoy playing duets with them.
