Jazz/pop/groove/songwriting piano lessons for all levels of skill and all ages by ex-conservatory student!

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I've been playing the piano with great passion for 18 years, and over the past 5 years, alongside my studies and music-making endeavors, I've been teaching multiple students ranging from 7 to 50 years old. My expertise lies in truly understanding music theory and composing and improvising music. Having played in many pop and jazz (big) bands and creating daily compositions for solo piano and bands, I've developed an enthusiasm for these genres that I love to impart to my students. In recent years, I've also been heavily involved in music production, and lessons in this direction are also possible!

I often use theory as a background to contextualize the songs we practice (which are often chosen by the student themselves). I use these songs to convey improvisation and composition skills. Additionally, I believe it's important for the student to develop their own way of learning. I strive to create a free yet disciplined learning environment.

Piano Lessons - A 360-degree Learning Experience. Fun and Efficient!
Holding a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, I nurture your child's talent and polish your piano skills effectively. Most importantly, my lessons are fun! As both a pianist and composer, I can help you not only develop your pianist skills but also gain a comprehensive understanding from the composer's perspective. Here are things I can do for you 😉 1. Set up your learning plan with a well-constructed syllabus to achieve your short-term/long-term piano goals, including a one-time coaching lesson. 2. Polish up your piano skills. 3. Develop a 360-degree understanding of music and examine works from the perspectives of a Pianist, a composer, and an interpreter. 4. Help you with basic music theory, harmony and counterpoint, form analysis, ear training, Piano literature, and music history. 5. Expand your piano repertoire. 6. Design an efficient Piano practice method that suits you. 7. Complimentary unique music pieces/ arrangements tailored to suit your music level. 🎁 As for the little ones, everything above will be taught with a very fun, engaging teaching method. ✨ I enjoy teaching music and customizing music works tailored to suit students' needs. For the little ones, I also use my method book "The Enchanted Bells: Marco Piccolo's Musical Adventure," which is now available in most major online bookstores worldwide. Students of all ages are welcome, and the subjects range from piano playing to music Theory, Harmony, Counterpoint, Ear Training, Form and Analysis, as well as Music Appreciation. As a composer, I enjoy using unique harmonies to create a distinct 'April Color.' Private Drum Lessons - Jazz/Funk/Rock - (Beginner - Advanced)
We will talk about your goals and together we will figure out what you exactly need to level up. I will design a practice schedule for you with suitable exercises that you personally enjoy and find fun, cos. Hey, music is supposed to be a stress buster, but that being said you gotta work to get better at anything. We will also talk about how it is to be a professional musician in the current music scene, and what skills apart from drumming are needed to be a musician. I have been teaching privately for the past 3 years, with happy students, and I am so glad that I am being able to help others move further in this journey of drums and life. Let's hang out soon, Cheers!

Patrícia
Singing lessons in different styles: Classical, Jazz, Pop!
My teaching method meets the student's needs. Above all, I try to make people keep their passion and taste for music and my main goal is to make music or art a pleasure and not a sacrifice. I motivate students, showing them the benefits of exploring their unique talents, but also not hiding the need for continuous work and with some obstacles, sometimes difficult, to overcome. I let the students bring their own musical choices and, over time, I also recommend material that I think may be useful for a faster, simpler, and more efficient evolution. As I said, I focus on the pleasure of singing but also on the technique that allows us to achieve the best results with less effort. I hope that my way of teaching will work with you, but we always have to adapt to the needs and personalities of each one. Come and try it!

Iago
Piano lessons: What about learning how to play the piano?
Piano is the instrument used by the romantics to make their most beautiful music, but also by the most experimental and modern composers to create their craziest music wonders. Isn't it a great instrument to play? With more than 5 years of experience teaching in music schools and 15 years as a private piano teacher, I developed an efficient and "fun-but-efficient" way to teach how to play the instrument. Every student is different, which means the way to play and learn shall be different, making every single lesson special and rewarding. I also offer the possibility of teaching in groups: if you want to know more about this option. Hope to see you soon in our class!

Maya
Composition Lesson for children and adults in Amstrdam
Composition lessons are for anyone who wishes to compose music, for any instrument, emsemble and/or electronics music. My teaching method combines various approaches and styles, supporting practice with theoretical knowledge, and most important developing creativity and helping the student in making their imagionary visions come real. For each student a different palate of tools is offered, according to the student's musical wishes and ambitions. I teach the basis of western-music composition - theory, harmony, counterpoint, score-reading, solfege, rhythm, analysis and more. Further I suggest broad overview of world, jazz, pop, new/contemporary music, various styles in electronic music (popular and experimental), improvisatory compositions, graphic notation, text and game pieces, music for theater, film and dance and interdicsiplinary works which combine music with other art fields.

Giorgia
Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Lydia
Piano Lessons in Classical and Contemporary Styles for Beginning-Advanced Levels (ages 6 and up)
Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Composition lessons I am able to teach both in-person and online via Zoom. If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to get in touch!
