Led by Impressionist artist Nadia Lyapina, this course covers a wide range of techniques and approaches, with a particular focus on each student's individual preferences. Course program: 1. The basics of drawing and composition In the first few classes, we'll cover the basics of observational drawing, exploring light, shadow, perspective, and anatomy. Exercises will include drawing a variety of objects, helping you develop your precision and attention to detail. 2. Work on color and painting techniques A significant portion of the course will be devoted to mastering various painting techniques. We will work with oil, watercolor, gouache, and acrylic, learning to combine colors harmoniously and create expressive works of art. 3. Impressionism and contemporary styles I will share with you my knowledge of the Impressionist style, including how to convey light and atmosphere using bright, pure colors. Where I previously felt very subconscious and unable to answer questions, i have now been able to answer difficult IB exams questions with ease.
