With nearly 20 years of piano experience and a degree in Guitar Performance, as well as a degree in Music Technology, I have learned thousands of songs and been on stage hundreds of times. As originally a self-taught guitarist, I spent thousands of hours developing my own systems of navigating the fretboard and playing chords. It wasn't until much later when I realized that these are very similar to the ideas that professional Nashville guitarists and some Berklee professors use themselves! For beginners: I can show you the building blocks of the guitar that will have you playing songs in no time. I will also teach you the most common chord progressions that will help you switch between chords without having to think. For those struggling with barre chords: I will show you how to simplify them and how to get your fingers in shape to eventually play the full chords.
