Trusted teacher: 🎶 Welcome to your musical journey! 🎸 I am a qualified teacher of Classical Guitar and Musical Education, with more than 20 years of experience helping students of all ages and levels achieve their musical goals. My academic training includes degrees from the José Ángel Lamas Conservatory of Music and UNEARTE in Venezuela, as well as studies in the Degree in Musicology at the International University of Valencia, Spain. I have had the privilege of learning from great teachers such as Luis Quintero Santamaría and Leopoldo Igarza, a disciple of Regino Sainz de la Maza, and of participating in master classes with international figures such as Rodrigo Riera, Alirio Díaz and Leo Brouwer. This solid training, added to my experience in recitals and festivals, allows me to offer you quality teaching, both in technique and interpretation. 📚 What can I offer you? - Personalized classes of classical guitar and various styles (Pop, Rock, Popular). - A program tailored to your interests, from instrumental technique to specific repertoire. - Exclusive audiovisual material to reinforce what was learned in each session. - Flexible and personal teaching, tailored to your personal goals. Trusted teacher: As an English tutor, my approach centers on creating a learning experience that's engaging, adaptable, and, above all, suited to each student's needs. I believe that mastering English is a gateway to broader academic, professional, or personal opportunities. My lessons are open to all, from beginners building core skills to professionals enhancing their business English. -Teaching Techniques and Methodology: I use interactive and practical methods that make each lesson relevant to real-life situations. By fostering a relaxed and open learning environment, I encourage students to explore the language confidently. Lessons incorporate diverse elements—conversation practice, vocabulary building, listening comprehension, and writing exercises—each tailored to the student's specific goals, whether for everyday communication, exams, or career-focused language. -Lesson Structure: Each session starts with a quick recap to reinforce what we've previously covered, followed by targeted activities. Lessons might include structured grammar, vocabulary tasks, open dialogues, or practical applications like email writing and presentation practice. To support progress between lessons, I provide tailored resources and assignments for ongoing practice. -What Sets Me Apart as a Teacher: I bring energy, patience, and a deep enthusiasm for language learning. My background in architecture has taught me to communicate clearly and precisely, skills I now use to help my students express themselves in English. I'm dedicated to helping students gain confidence and reach their full potential, regardless of their current level.

Trusted teacher: In these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students. Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English. My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual. For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
