Trusted teacher: What is the lesson content? -Amateur level: In this level, piano is played as a hobby. The repertoire is prepared together in line with the student's wishes and level. No specific piano book is required. Students are encouraged to compose their own music if they wish. In this way, they acquire the ability to write music on a lined notation paper. Sight reading practices, solfeggio training, basic music theory and terminology studies, discussions of music history are included lessons. -Professional level: This level generally includes preparing for piano competitions, the examinations and the certificate/diploma programs of music-oriented education institutions such as London College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, various of conservatories and music schools. The lessons mostly cover the playing of the pieces in the specific repertoire list determined by these music institutions. Ear training lessons are given for admission exams of instrument departments which aim to measure the 'musical ear'. This level is more focused on Western Classical Music. It includes harmony education and reviews of musicological articles. How long is the lesson? Lesson durations are adapted to age groups specifically by considering physical and mental developmental processes. *Durations can be rearranged according to the student's concentration regardless of age. Trusted teacher: Dear parents and students, welcome to my profile! I am a professional opera singer who has performed in theatres and concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Romania, and Hong Kong, has won international vocal competitions, been an adjudicator in vocal competitions, and given vocal masterclasses in secondary schools. I was a singing and piano teacher at an arts school in London, where my classes were always fully booked. I have always enjoyed teaching and can teach a wide range of repertoire in English, German, French and Italian. As a private singing teacher, all my students have won local and international competitions, and obtained excellent results in their exams. Some of them even decided to choose music and opera as their future careers. Yet, I see many more responsibilities being a teacher. Besides sharing knowledge and experience with my students, I am also the person who: - enlightens my students through their journey of music; - my students can rely on and talk to; - influences them to embrace differences and be kind; - makes them aware of their values and proud of themselves. I want to be my students' friend and teach them with a humble and empathetic heart. My students like sharing their stories and ideas with me outside the lessons, sometimes about books, sometimes about philosophy, sometimes about the world, sometimes about the industry, sometimes about anything in life. I always make time for my students. Besides singing, I have been a pianist and piano teacher for 13 years. I am usually the accompanist for my students in their competitions and exams. My qualifications are as follows: The Chinese University of Hong Kong Bachelor of Arts (Music) Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel Master of Music (Classical Singing) Postgraduate in Classical Singing Licentiate Trinity College London Vocal Performance 97/100 Distinction Licentiate Trinity College London Piano Performance 90/100 Distinction DipABRSM Piano ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory Lessons are done with an acoustic grand piano. Please feel free to contact me and let me know what you want to learn and achieve! Have a super lovely day!:)

Trusted teacher: ENG | I finished my master's degree in classical cello performance at IMEP, Namur with prof. Joachim. I have played in numerous orchestras and chamber music ensembles in Belgium and Greece. I have had masterclasses with important cello teachers. I have 2 years of experience teaching cello. I have a “Certificate of Teaching Competence” which I received after completing 6 other subjects during my Bachelor in Greece. I also followed 6 years of private piano lessons and an intermediate level diploma. I would really like to help you discover the world of music. As a cellist who has received very structured education, I can help you build your technique and at the same time your musicality. Trusted teacher: Music is Play! and everyone is it's own game. Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:) I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now! Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation. Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works. This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry. Music is very powerful! PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create a any kind of path between piano, synths, beats and home studio techniques. Ask me anything, I'll tell you how I could help!

Dario
Dario is a very patient and detailed teacher in explaining how I can incorporate both technical and musical aspects in a piece. He also showed how to play using his cameras that were set at various views, which was very helpful to see at close up. His vast experience allows him to explain the different interpretations of a piece and it is interesting to know the different schools of thoughts. He is an excellent teacher.

Lise
What a warm welcome by Lisse in her studio. We brought our daughter to her first piano lesson. She is just four but wants to play the piano and sing. Lisse understands the teaching very well and in a playful way she already learned some keynotes (and made her own composition). Lisse is well organised and that you see in the lesson. Our daughter is very excited about her next lesson!
