I chose a master's in 'Rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy specialization musculoskeletal disorders'. During my bachelor years, I developed a very good basic knowledge of science subjects and mathematics: I studied statistics for 3 years, molecular cell biology, chemistry, physics, biomechanics, biochemistry and anatomy. The quality of teaching of both the University of Leuven as the high school I went to (Heilig Hartcollege Tervuren) is something I am very happy/thankful for. I would love to share the education and the knowledge I acquired by supporting and teaching you or your child/teen. I would consider it as a sort of study pathway counseling. As I already have a bachelor's degree in one of the highest-ranked universities in Europe, I have a broad knowledge of quite some subjects. I have a lot of experience working with children and teenagers, I have been a leader in a Scout for children aged 12 to 18. I have also been a tutor for 5 years now. I love working with other people as I am a very social, empathic, and motivated person. I seek to provide my students opportunities to discover how mathematics is present in the daily human life (to help the human being in achieving his basics needs) and in the nature. Everyone can develop their gifts and talents and my class provide the appropriated environment for that. I try to explain content about the theory and its applications, whenever possible, showing the relation between that content and human needs that lead to its historical development. I try to help the student to achieve success in solving problems related to the theories, assisting step by step the resolution by the student (to stimulate his/her prominence, autonomy, and self-confidence in problems solving), through questions and, when needed, giving further examples and explanations that can bring deeper understandings. In my class enter no criticism and no pressure, there is no place for fear of mistakes (the mistakes are part of the way we human beings learn), the atmosphere is happy and healthy, stimulating the student to be himself/herself and to feel free to learn, investigate and question with tranquility and happiness. Over the course of about two semesters, Maria Luisa helped me with the Mathematics course at my university. The topics were highly diverse, ranging from financial mathematics to differential equations. Even so, she was able to explain all of them in detail, making exercises and giving concrete examples that made abstract concepts more tangible. Maria Luisa was a patient and attentive tutor who really took her time to make sure the lessons were tailored to my needs. I'd strongly recommend Maria's lessons to anyone looking for some extra help within Mathematics/Physics in a supportive atmosphere.
