Trusted teacher: Hi! Have you always wanted to learn to sing? Is your voice getting tired after singing (alone or in a choir)? Do you want to be better at singing? Are you curious about what your voice can do? Do you sing in a choir and need extra help putting together the material in between rehearsals? I love passing on the knowledge of my craft. The mechanics of the voice is such a small and intricate thing, and knowing what goes inside our throat and body is a very special experience. I get excited and moved every time a student achieves a new skill, and takes another step towards a deeper understanding of their voice. On top of my experience as a singer and a teacher, I have a degree in linguistics. That allows me to know exactly what has to be done inside your throat and mouth in order to produce a specific sound. I can therefore adapt to each student: if they have an analytic mind, I can explain what goes on inside and what should be done to improve that. If they have an instinctive mind, I can help with metaphor in order to help the phonation. Or both! My method is multi-faceted because each voice is unique, and it is my job to adapt, and not the contrary. How does a lesson work? The first time we meet, we will talk about your journey in the music world. What have you done yet music wise, what artists and genres inspire you, what are your goals. Then we will do what we do in every regular lesson: I will direct you during some warming-up exercises, that include vocal technique work (if you have already warmed up, we just do a few exercises about technique), and then we will work on whatever you want. I ask my students to always come with at least one piece of music they want to work on (or maybe two, depends on the time we have on hands). See you soon! Manon (she/her)

English Version I am currently a lyric singing student at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. My teaching method is based on a personalized approach, where I aim to adjust vocal technique to suit the style of music chosen, whether it's classical, opera, or contemporary genres. Through breathing exercises, posture work, and relaxation techniques, we work together to release the voice and develop a solid and flexible vocal technique. Hello, my name is Ricardo and I'm a Portuguese professional opera singer and singing teacher based in London. I trained at the University of Aveiro (2010; BMus & MEdu Vocal Performance and Tuition w/ Distinction) and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (2011; MMus in Performance w/ Merit). I'm a certified singing teacher and would love to help you! I teach singing to any age range and in a variety of styles: Classical, Contemporary/Musical Theatre. I teach either at my home in Wimbledon or at the student's home. I'm happy to travel within the London metropolitan area but will adjust the price of the lessons according to the travel costs I incur. My schedule is very flexible and the lessons are to be arranged with the student on a weekly basis. My singing students will be prepared to undertake any endeavour they want to in the music world: I can prepare them to sing for fun for family gatherings, Conservatoire access, ABRSM exams or to sing professionally. I've also had great success with Skype/Facetime singing lessons. These are charged at the same price as live lessons and the date and time are to be arranged between me and the student. My Message to you: My singing teaching is based in objective physical information which you can replicate, memorise and follow. My main goal is to help you build a healthy muscle memory for singing which you can then put to the service of Art. I believe a great technical foundation is at the core of Artistic Creation and a Vocal Technique is the toolbox from where you draw what you need in order to express yourself. Having built my own voice from scratch, I know how to put the puzzle of Singing together and will support you to achieve the same. I'm an honest supportive teacher and I will make sure we enjoy our time working together.

I believe everyone can sing, and it is one of the most extraordinary and fun things to do! Hello everyone! My name is Marion and I come from France. I have been a musician for as long as I can remember. I started when I was a kid as a trumpet player. I played in many different kinds of orchestras and had a lot of fun with this instrument, but it was nothing compare to my love for singing! This is why I decided to become a professional opera singer and I want to share my passion about singing! What do I offer? Classical singing lessons for all levels with a focus on opera, songs, oratorio and choir repertoire. I am based in Utrecht. You are welcome to come to my place, but I can also come to the students. Lessons can be taught in English or in French, but I also speak a little bit of Dutch. What will you learn? The fundamental elements of classical singing such as breathing, posture and resonances for example but also styles, pronunciation, interpretation and repertoire. An important aspect I want to approach in a singing lesson is how to help you find your own voice, both in a technical and in an interpretative sense. I can also guide you with anything solfège related like how to use and read a score or how to learn a song by heart. What is my philosophy about singing and pedagogy? I believe the best way to develop and improve a skill is when the students feel that they are in a safe place where they can dare to experiment but also have fun. This is an essential part of the process of music making and I try to bring fun and enjoyment to every lesson! I hope we will be in touch soon for a lesson. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, I will be happy to have a chat with you! I look forward to meeting you! About me: I started my musical studies in my home country in France, at the Conservatoire de Caen and the Conservatoire de Rennes before coming to The Netherlands where I finished my voice bachelor’s degree at Het Conservatorium van Amsterdam in June 2018. Two years later I graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy where I performed the role of Tigrane in Händel’s Radamisto, The Countess of Dunmow in Berkeley’s A Dinner Engagement, Arsace in Graun’s Cesare and Cleopatra and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte. Nowadays, I am a freelance soprano working in the Netherlands and in Belgium as a soloist and as a choir singer. I often participate in productions with the choir of the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp or the Groot Omroepkoor in Hilversum. I was one of the laureates of the edition 2020/2021 of the Dutch Classical Talent Tour & Award, and I recently won the Handel Choir Jubilee Award.

I consider myself an intermediate level singer (have had four years of opera training) so listening to feedback was challenging from a new observer. It was only the first lesson so I need to do more to gauge our compatibility but he definitely seems knowledgeable about voices and ways to improve just based off of a few sounds, which I found interesting and impressive. I articulated my goals and he believes he can help me get there. He is direct and to the point - also a quality I appreciate. We'll see. But so far so good ;)

Manon
Manon is a both a passionate and attentive teacher. She cares very much not only about helping her student in achieving new skills but also about finding more comfort, freedom, and understanding of how it all works. I highly recommend working with her! I was personally looking for something both joyful and challenging, and I'm really satisfied!

Georgia
As someone who loves singing it was very helpful in the very first lesson to begin to understand the muscles I need to use and the "spaces" I need to create to stabilise and improve my sound. I also felt she responded well to each question I raised, or issue she heard in the way I did the excercises. I look forward to future lessons.
