This is why it is important to learn music theory pragmatically, keeping in mind that it is here to help us understand different musical languages, not at all to impose strict rules. Oscar is an incredibly talented musician who, in addition to his musical prowess, has shown a real talent for teaching. When I approached Oscar to deepen my understanding of music theory, I was pleasantly surprised by his well thought-through approach and I decided that I wanted to make it a regular thing. After only a few lessons with Jeremy, I can say that he helped me progress more than I was able to achieve in 2 years trying to learn the bass through Youtube videos… He helped with the theoretical aspects as well as with my playing technique.
