Trusted teacher: I teach theory for all grades, specialising in ABRSM theory. I have access to many past papers. I have also created exercises to help my students. When a students stuggles with something, I create exercises to help master it. Theory should be easy! About Me I am a friendly teacher, who will help you achieve your desired goal for music theory. I have been teaching live for 10 years, and on Skype for 5 years. As long as your internet connection is good, skype can be almost as good as being in the same room. I have studied with many of the leading teachers in Europe and the USA. I started my education at Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music (London), where I studied with James Sleigh for five years. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the National Youth Strings Academy. I the studied my Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London), where I studied with Andriy Viytovych. I have a Masters of Music from Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance (London), studying under Roger Chase, and a Masters in Fine Art from Gothenburg University (Sweden) with Øvyor Volle (Vertavo Quartet). I also studied in the USA at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Chicago College of Performing Arts. I work as a professional viola player across the UK and Scandinavia, with such orchestras as Bergen, Norwegian Radio, Gothenburg Symphony, Norrkoping Symphony, Jonkoping Sinfonietta, Aarhus Symphony, and English National Ballet Philharmonic. I am also a music arranger and transcriber. I can give lessons once or twice a week. Please note that twice a week does allow for fast progression. Lessons can be at my home in Kallhäll, or online via Skype or Zoom. Although I live in Sweden, I only teach in English. Qualifications MFA, MMus, BMus (Hons). Violin and Viola lessons 🎻 with a professional teacher for all ages and levels (Amsterdam)
Fermin
I studied the violin for about 2 months with Fermin and I have grown much in my knowledge of not just how to play but how to think when playing. Fermin has also helped a lot with technical struggles allowing me to break through some of the challenges that were bothering me for a long time. He is a very patient teacher but he will not hesitate to stop you and correct you (as any good teacher would) if you are not playing correctly. I personally requested that he gives me honest feedback which really helped me play better tecnically and musically. I believe he will be open to adapting his strictness upon specific requests. The time difference (Fermin being in Spain and I being in the US) has not been easy but Fermin was very willing to bend his schedule and provided several time slots to accommodate my availability. To sum up, if you are looking for a teacher that is patient in character yet unrelenting toward the goal of fully tapping your potential both musically and tecnically, I would recommend you take a lesson with Fermin.
