Trusted teacher: I run my lessons in 4 steps. Step 1 (content knowledge): I get to know how much the student already knows about the topic. Depending on their level of understanding I will go over crucial subject content and make sure to cover any knowledge gaps. Step 2: I go over practice questions with the student and give them tips on how to tackle the questions and how to answer effectively in order to obtain full marks. Step 3: I give students past paper questions to independently try them. I then mark them and go over any questions they got wrong. I then give them more questions that are similar to the questions they got wrong. Step 4: I quiz the students to make sure there’s no knowledge gap in the specific topic before moving on to a next topic. My aim is to teach students just like the way I like to be taught. Making sure the environment is friendly so that the students can freely ask questions without being intimidated. I am very passionate about making sure that my teaching helps as many students as possible so that they can achieve the top grades. I have previously taught 11+ students in a private tuition. Although I don’t have a broad work experience in teaching but being the eldest daughter I have always taught my younger siblings who both go to a grammar school. I have always helped my friends and classmates in school as well. I have always been a top achiever. I am also a medical applicant with a medical school offer. I can assure you that I will teach my students with complete hard work and dedication.

Trusted teacher: Dedicated Maths tutor Hello. My name is Sam. I believe that with the correct style and sufficient amount of effort basically anybody can understand the subject which I have had (and still have) such a desire to learn, maths. During my third year at the University of Warwick were I achieved my BSc, I helped a small group of first year students with their assignments. I enjoyed this a lot as it gives me satisfaction knowing I have helped others. I have also worked as a maths academic mentor for a school in Reading providing intervention lessons at GCSE level as well as one to ones for A-level students. I am also currently studying and training to obtain QTS and PGCE at the University of Roehampton When it comes to how I teach I think that the following are important to me... (1) Encourage learning by doing. That is rather then bombarding students with information, go through a topic and ask the student a series of short questions to ensure that they understand all the details and that they feel involved rather than being passive. As well as an emphasis on going through example/past paper questions. (2) Explaining concepts in a more casual/friendly way. This means relating how a concept could be applied to the real-world, rather than just regurgitating what is given in textbooks/school. As well as coming up with quirky ways of memorizing information. I am confident in teaching GCSE ,A-level maths and A-level further maths. I specialise in the pure and statistics options when it comes to A-level maths and further maths.

Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Sanjidah, and I’m a passionate mathematician with a deep love for helping students excel in their studies. I have been working as a private tutor for the past three years. My passion for mathematics has driven me to not only master the subject but also to share my enthusiasm with young learners in a way that makes even the most complex topics enjoyable and accessible. I have extensive experience working with students who are preparing for important exams, such as SATs or GCSEs. Every weekend, I tutor children, guiding them through any challenges they face in their schoolwork. Whether it’s mastering fractions, algebra, or geometry, I prepare personalized lessons to address specific areas of difficulty, ensuring that each student gains confidence and improves their understanding, whilst also helping them on any homework they are stuck on. I have conducted maths workshops at local primary schools, where I was able to share my passion for the subject with younger students. Through these workshops, which were guided by the Royal Institution, I’ve learned how to tailor my teaching methods to match each child’s unique way of thinking. I’ve seen firsthand how engaging and interactive lessons can inspire future mathematicians and make learning a truly enjoyable experience. Why Choose My Classes? Parents who are looking for a tutor to help their child excel in exams can rest assured that I’m well-versed in the relevant syllabi. I’m familiar with the key textbooks and revision guides, such as the CGP Revision Guides for Maths, and I know how to use them effectively to prepare students for their exams. My approach isn’t just about helping students pass their exams—it's about instilling a deep understanding of the material that will serve them well in future studies. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new concepts. My experience working with students of various ages, particularly those preparing for SATs, has taught me how to communicate complex ideas in a way that’s easy to understand. I’m committed to helping each student reach their full potential, whether it’s by tackling difficult homework problems, revisiting challenging topics, or developing strategies for exam success.
