For primary school pupils, we will start with the basics of grammar and comprehension. We will focus on building a strong foundation by working on topics such as sentence structure, parts of speech and basic reading skills, including phonics and spelling. Through interactive and enjoyable activities, we will ensure that your child understands the concepts thoroughly. As your child progresses to secondary school, the English curriculum becomes more challenging. However, I am confident that we will tackle the literature and language elements with ease. At this stage, we will introduce literature, including Shakespeare's plays and poetry, into our lessons. We will not only analyse the texts but also make connections to the real world, thereby developing critical thinking skills. In conclusion, my primary goal is to help your child become proficient in the English language. Together, we will build a strong foundation for their language skills and expand their horizons through literature. Trusted teacher: Hello there! My name is Raghinie. I have completed my IB diploma at Birkerød Gymnasium. I am currently pursuing my degree in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. I am originally from Malaysia but I have lived in Denmark for 5 years and currently living in the Netherlands for the past 3 years. However, English is my first language and I also have an IETLS certificate. I am fluent in speaking, reading, and writing the language. Therefore, during the lesson, I will incorporate tasks and activities involving these 3 aspects. We will also go through basic grammar rules that will be useful for both writing and daily conversations. I will provide online worksheets and assignments (included in the fees of the lesson) to be done during the lesson and also as homework. Workbooks may be provided at an additional cost which you can work with on your own at home after the lesson. This is of course highly recommended for your own benefit as practice makes perfect. In the first meeting, we will discuss further on the preference of workload and what you would like to learn. In case of sign up by parents, it is the parents' responsibility to communicate what are the needs of their child in regard with learning. I am open to having group classes of 3-5 students.
