For me, learning a language requires patience, willingness and joy. I also believe that learning something new in French every day is better than learning too much in a single day. I also think that you must use every new word you learn, by interacting and speaking as much as you can. For this reason, each of my lessons always includes all 5 skills according to the CEFR: - Spoken Production: e.g. I encourage learners to introduce themselves and speak about their main interests without being interrupted. - Listening: e.g. I integrate songs, interviews, lectures according to the learner's goals. - Reading: e.g. articles, film reviews, parts of books and news. - Writing: e.g. formal and informal letters and e-mails, personal accounts, journals. -Spoken Interaction: I always spend time in conversation with the student, at the beginning and the end of the lesson, in order to improve her/his fluency and confidence. I also encourage (but not force!^^) students to do exercises on their own too, so that they are more prepared for the following lesson. I am patient and comprehensive, and I organize my lessons according to the learners' interests and personal goals. From A2- B1 level onwards, I try to speak only in French.

Very satisfied with one week sustained session on Japanese essentials with Chihi san. Contents are spot on, method is very adaptable. I felt both challenged, enabled and wishing for more. Just great: I recommend her completely: She tuned in very naturally to my constraints and my learning style, giving me content and foundation I can use immediately, and going the extra mile with research on many small questions I raised all along the way or in between. Planning was also very smooth: She was organised and at the same time very flexible to meet my needs on timing, location , contents etc. I won’t need to look elsewhere on my next learning sessions.

Anne is a teacher that prepares her lessons in advance. You get a lot of attention as a student and I really felt welcomed from the first minute. Anne is very clear in her communication and organisation (and this also encompasses how she guides you towards the first lesson, making sure all is clear). It is clear that she has a profound knowledge of the Japanese language as well as the didactical methods to teach it. What I appreciated was her openness and the fact that you can shape the lessons to make them fit with your personal goals you have for studying Japanese, whatever they might be. Very friendly and patient teacher. She explains very well and also tells about Japanese culture. During the lesson we write everything down together so that you can always look back at the things you have learnt. She also does a great job at using material from previous lessons so you don't forget and also get a good feeling of progression. The lessons also have a lot of variety and are very interactive. Most important of all though is that the lessons themselves are very fun! Definitely recommend!
