I worked in a language school and at universities, and I suppose I gained success. 😀 I have been teaching Turkish professionally for 14 years. I also taught Turkish for 4 years when I was a university student. I learned Ottoman Turkish at the university, so I'm familiar with Persian and Arabic vocabulary. I also studied Persian, German, and Italian grammar. I completed my master's degree in Ottoman history and spent a semester as an Erasmus student at the Turkish Studies Department of Leiden University. I am interested in literature, cinema and TV series (nowadays Korean). I write books and movie analyses in my spare time. Me as a Teacher: I hold firm to two main principles: providing a comfortable environment and creating an encouraging atmosphere. My students always tell me that I am patient, positive and well-organized. I have developed an aptitude for making learning Turkish much easier, more efficient and practical. My professionalism also allows me to tailor language education according to individual interests, needs, and capacities. I use a book prepared by a university in Turkey. You will not hesitate to make mistakes. After a while, you will realize your mistakes and start to correct yourself. Do you think that learning Turkish isn't easy? By progressing systematically in your learning journey, you will not feel the difficulties and will enjoy it. My lessons & teaching style: Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid knowledge of grammar because Turkish has a very different structure. I use a book set that Istanbul University prepares. The course book is structured with a strategic approach to learning Turkish by using all the language skills: reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking from A1 to C2. All these skills are essential for conversation. I will give you tips on how to study Turkish, so you can work more effectively and learn Turkish well. The workbook includes many exercises for homework or revision. I support the book with my authentic materials. I use a board that you can see anytime, and you can edit it, too. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons. I will share all the materials (books, audio, videos, authentic materials) with you according to your level. Important note: In group lessons, for example, to complete level A1, you need to have approximately 120-150 hours of lessons. This lesson time varies depending on the number of people in the group. There are 5 levels in total in Turkish: A1-A2 level (basic), B1-B2 level (intermediate), C1+ (advanced). You could complete all levels 2.5 times faster by having private lessons compared to group lessons. I would recommend completing the A1 level in about 3 months. Since there are 5 levels, you will need approximately 15 months. I am explaining all of this to show you your learning plan. Of course, this plan may vary depending on your capacity, speed and how many hours of lessons you have per week. No matter what level you're at! Are you ready to start speaking? I am following a class with Başak to learn turkish. The lessons are held in english. This course covers pronunciation, grammar and free speaking which are also adapted to daily life situations as well as speaking about yourself. I have experienced a very well organized and structured teacher on a professional basis. The teacher gives clear instructions, pays attention to the pronunciation and corrects you when needed, which is crucial for the turkish pronunciation. The course fees contain the tuition as booked and course material as the class is accompanied by a book (workbook and exercise book) and audio files. The books are sent to you in advance, makes it very convenient to take a print out or as a digital version on your tablet/PC/phone. Between the lessons homework will be assigned and checked by her via mail and discussed in the next lesson. So far, I am very happy with the lessons and I am also confident that I will improve my turkish steadily in the future with her. Thanks

Very satisfied with one week sustained session on Japanese essentials with Chihi san. Contents are spot on, method is very adaptable. I felt both challenged, enabled and wishing for more. Just great: I recommend her completely: She tuned in very naturally to my constraints and my learning style, giving me content and foundation I can use immediately, and going the extra mile with research on many small questions I raised all along the way or in between. Planning was also very smooth: She was organised and at the same time very flexible to meet my needs on timing, location , contents etc. I won’t need to look elsewhere on my next learning sessions.

Hello, I am Jasmin of Moroccan descent. born and raised in the Netherlands. I had my first lesson from Camille in Fethiye last week. I found it quite exciting at first, because my English and Arabic are not perfect. I am pleasantly surprised Cemille can teach very well and is a super nice, decently lady. (Dutch) hallo ik ben jasmin van Marokkaanse komaf. geboren wn getogen in nederland. ik heb afgelopen week mijn eerste les van camille in fethiye gehad. ik vond het eerst best spannend, want mijn engels en arabisch zijn niet perfect. ik ben aangenaam verast cemille kan super goed les geven en is een super leuke nette dame.
