During my course the student can learn and practice grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking, conversation, written and oral comprehension, written and oral production, standard Italian diction/pronunciation. I am an expert in standard Italian diction-pronunciation, together we can work on your school/business presentations. I can also help you understand and try to speak several Italian dialects! I also teach native Italian speakers how to reduce their regional accent. Learning a new foreign language is a complex dynamic process, so I teach following a structural traditional approach, which provides the foundation/basic rules of the language, while I tailor the lesson based on the student's needs. I assign homework and I use all the best tools - technology in order to provide the best learning experience possible. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 3 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. I’m very grateful to have Andrea as my Italian language tutor. I am traveling to Italy soon, and his lessons have given me the confidence I need to converse in Italian when I’m there. He pays close attention to pronunciation and grammar, politely correcting you when you make mistakes and clearly teaching you the grammar rules needed to avoid making them again. The typed notes he makes during the lesson (which he sends you afterward) are clear, very helpful summaries of what we covered. I don’t think I could ask for a better tutor!
