I connect easily with young people, therefore creating a comfortable and positive learning environment. This makes it easier for them to engage, ask questions, and feel more confident in our online sessions. I appreciate that every student learns differently so my tutoring sessions are customized to suit individual needs, strengths, and areas for improvement. My approach is to simplify - I break down complex grammar, vocabulary, and exam techniques into easy-to-understand segments, making learning French more approachable and enjoyable. My lessons are designed to be engaging, incorporating a variety of activities that help reinforce learning in a fun, interactive way, from conversational practice to exam-style questions. I’m dedicated to helping students achieve their target grades, with a track record of students improving their confidence and performance in French GCSE exams. (including my own 2 now grown-up children.) For my current students, I am working with the AQA French Higher textbook.

I have been learning with Anne for almost 8 months now. I cannot even begin to thank Anne for her amazing teaching skills and how much she has helped me. I have struggled with French for years and I finally found a teacher who both pushed me but is also patient and accommodating to my needs. I was also hesitant at first to have an online teacher, but her teaching methods and skills actually made it easier that she was online, also in terms of managing my time and schedule with her, I did not feel that anything hindered my progress having her online. Her great personality and experience as a teacher overall further helped with my fear and difficulty in learning French, and having her as an online teacher. And finally, she has a great teaching structure and a curriculum and material (which was important for me) to provide for the student through structured classes, while taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of the student. Thank you very much Anne for everything.

Angélique is an amazing teacher, I have been having lessons with her for the last couple of years. One of her strongest assets is that she pays attention to the needs of each individual student. For myself, I was interested to improve my oral skills, communication and vocabulary (alongside learning the necessary grammar) and I have seen such an improvement. Lessons are nicely structured and with a variation of activities, again paying attention to the needs of the student. Angélique is also really good with the communication. Lessons are always pleasant and enjoyable, which can make a difference in student's motivation. I wish I had more teachers with such positive attitude and motivation when I was younger.

It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class. I woulf highly recommend Phil if you are looking for a French tutor :)
