Hello! I'm Lulu, a bilingual English teacher with six years of experience. I teach English using a flexible methodology so that the language can be learned, or improved, naturally. My goal as a teacher is for students to learn to master the language in an authentic way. -I don't do exam preparation.- Classes revolve around interactive activities and spontaneous, in-depth conversations (to the extent each student allows). Communicating across languages is key to cognitive development and goes far beyond memorizing words: it's an opportunity to discover our own identity from a different perspective. To begin, I always do a couple of tests that help me profile the student from various areas, not just the level, and with that, I work with the individual to develop the class strategy, from frequency to method. I have worked with students of all ages, with diverse learning styles and unique needs, and while they often fit within certain parameters that correspond to pre-established teaching methodologies, each one is unique and deserves a personalized approach that respects their own pace. Therefore, the course format will depend on the objective, the level of each student, and, above all, their interests, as these will serve as a basis for guiding the learning process. Very clear as to what his teaching methods and goals are, how he'll help you get there - then jumps right in and gets you started with no fuss. I found myself speaking sentences in Wolof by the end of the lesson, and really appreciate the additional written material he supplied as well. As someone who has taught and learned various other languages I can tell that Dembane has a really sound methodology. I'll add to this review in a few months time, but so far I am impressed. Also glad that he is pointing out regional differences between Senegal and Gambia usage to me, as it's relevant to my learning needs. He does personalise the content for the individual student, which is good to see.

I've had different Spanish teachers but Tanya is by far the best for several reasons: - Tanya makes a personal plan together with me which fits perfectly with my learning goals. So no unnecessary grammar but only things whichs helps me with my reason why I approached her - She developed her own personal learning style which helps me making huge steps in a short time - Tanya shows she's well prepared and the work we do and the homework I get is always in extend of the things I want to learn - Besides that she's always happy and a nice person to chat with Quick sumarry: if you want to learn Spanish in a good/fast way with a teacher who is always happy, I would highly recommend Tanya :)
